When I followed Baz

This is when Simon and Baz are trying to avenging Baz's mom and did not tell Penny

Penny's Pov:

I always was one of the top of my class. After all, it's what my parents expected of me. My only competition is Baz. He's super smart, really polite, and just annoyingly perfect. Simon insists that he's evil, but he seems kinda nice. (Simon also insists that Baz is a vampire, so I guess he's not the most reliable source...) He says all this stuff, but I never really believed him, but because Simon kept insisting, I decided to keep an on Baz.

A few weeks pass, and nothing interesting happens, until one night, I saw him trying to sneak out of the Mummer's House. How suspicious...I decided to follow him. He snuck out the back entrance and headed to the Wavering Woods. I tailed him and was shocked to see Simon waiting by the trees. By the way the Simon was greeting Baz, it was clear that they planned to meet. I was surprised to say the least, but thought that they were here just to battle or something because of a disagreement, being the absolute idiots they are.. (They did that sometimes. )

Simon looked at Baz and said, "Where do we start? We only know the name Nicodemus and have no idea where to start. Should we ask the librarian, or should we just... I dunno"

"No, we don't want anyone to see us together, or else it will raise suspicion, especially since the whole school knows we hate each other. "

"That makes sense, well can we go inside to think, I cannot work on an empty stomach."

"Since when did we have food in our room, Simon?"

"I was going to drop by the kitchen."

"Well, you can go straight to our room, I will drop by the kitchen, get us food and then meet you in our room. You go in first"

Simon walked past the tree I was hiding behind and went back into the building. Baz looked around and then said, "It's show time, come out now Bunce"

"How do you know?" I was sure to be quiet and cast a there's nothing to see here spell. How did he know to cast an It's show time spell to see me?

"It was easy to tell that you were there. You can't be the best, I can always beat you, and why would I tell you my secrets?"
