What She Sees.
She can still feel his fingers in between her's
She can still see his face when she wakes up in the morning
She can still feel his warm breath tickling her neck
She can still here his jokes that made her laugh for hours even if they weren't that funny
But when she closes her eyes
She can still see the bright light flash before her
She can still hear the screeching and screams
She can still feel the glass hitting her face
She can still taste the blood dripping into her mouth
And when she opens her eyes again
She sees his coffin being lowered into the ground slowly
She hears the priest saying the final good byes
She longs for his hand to slip around her waist
She feels the pain of knowing he's never coming back
A year from now, though she still misses him
She feels stronger now
She sees life in a new way
She tastes food with a new respect
She hears the beautiful songs of nature
She knows that through the pain he helped her become stronger, and now it's time to let go.
