Chapter 9- What the?

Blake's POV

I am on my way home right now. I told Cerena a few days ago that I will be gone for a few days but in actual fact I was only gone for one night on a business trip on the other side of the city. Other than that I have been spending the week at Melody's place. I cant wait to see her again tomorrow before I have to go back to work again on Monday.

I am about 5 minutes away from the house when I see a familiar car coming in my direction. Trying to focus, I see that it is Cerena. I hoot to her but she blatantly ignore me and drives pass me. I know she knows it was me because she knew I would be home any minute now but I wonder what happened. Anyway let me get home so I can hit a shower and gym.

I pull into the drive way and something feels off. My mind keeps going back to Cerena but I try to ignore it and go inside the house. I am immediately hit with a scent I am all to familiar with but it is not Cerenas. I walk into the kitchen with wide eyes and I see a shell shocked Melody sitting there. My eyes widen when realization kicked in that, this is probably why Cerena ignored me when she drove past me a few moments ago. Melody must have finally noticed my presence because she gives me a weak small smile.

"What are you doing here Melody? What did you tell Cerena?" I felt anger rise up inside of me and I don't know why. What I said to Melody must have came out more harsher than I realized because I see tears starting in her eyes but I don't care. I want to know what the hell happened here and why is she in my kitchen and my fiance left with out saying a word to me.

"We can finally be together. We can finally be together!!!!" Melody saying more to herself before she jumps up screaming and tackling me in a huge bear hug, but I push her off of me and she looks shocked.

" Melody I am only going to ask you this one more time. What the hell happened here?"

She motioned for me to sit down before she started explaining everything that had happened. To say that I was shocked was an understatement. She handed me the envelope Cerena had left me. I didn't even bother opening it. I just grabbed my keys and started to rush to my hair. 'I need to see her. I need to explain to her. She must be hurting so badly right now'. Ignoring the screams of Melody for me to come back. I jumped into my car and I know that there is only one place she would go to, to clear her thoughts.
