Janean

"Hi. Welcome to the Comfort Inn. How can I help you?" I recited with a toothy smile. Did I ever mention how much I like my job? Working in a hotel is pretty chill.

If I'm not behind the front desk I have to make sure the halls and lobby is clean. Or I'm working room service. Sometimes I work housekeeping which is cool.

Some folks that come here are complete messes and others are clean for the most part. After checking in this family of five I activated their room keys and they parted with smiles.

Things are suppose to pick soon because there is a baseball and basketball game on with out of state players — which means not only is it going to be it's going to be messy as fuck!

Lunch time rolled around rather quickly and I decided to go down towards the autoshop where Shad worked to see of he could grab lunch. Pulling onto the lot I parked out front and went inside; making the bell on the door jingle. There was a short dark skinned guy behind the desk and he licked his lips as I walk towards him.

"Hi is Bow here?" I inquired sweetly.

"Yeah let me go get him for you." he smiled and I nodded.

I caught him looking back at me as I touched up my makeup in my pocket mirror. I decided to change my clothes into something casual. I just don't like wearing my uniform out to lunch.

One time a co-worker of mine wore her uniform out and got into a huge fight with some girl. The girl and her family were staying at the hotel and they ran into each other in the lobby.

You can guess the rest. Walking out in his oil stained jump suit he wiped his hands on a disposable cloth. "Hi babe." I cheesed as he neared. "Hey." he pecked my lips.

"I just came to see if you wanted to get lunch."

"Sounds good. I'll be right back."

I nodded and turned to go outside only to be stopped by the guy sitting behind the desk. "Do you like chocolate?" he asked smoothly earning a giggle from me. "Yeah, but I like caramel better." I winked as Shad came out. Lacing our arms together we walked to his car and he drove to the nearest Taco Bell.

"Mimi I'm sorry." I pouted sticking another forkful of red velvet cake in my mouth. After lunch with Shad I went to work for another two hours before I was off. According to Mimi I've been neglecting her and she isn't happy so I have to make it up to her.

"Mhm you ain't sorry. Too busy running up behind that boy that picked you up from over here," she grinned and my mouth dropped. I thought she was sleep! "So when can I meet this boy?" she inquired with a toothy grin.

"Mimi I don't know. We've been friends for a while now and we just started dating. I don't want to scare him off by introducing him to my grandmother."

"Bullspit." she scoffed earning a giggle from me.

"Mimi stop being like that." I chuckled.

"Stop what?" she inquired innocently with a grin.

"I just want to see how serious we get before you meet him. I told you how I've been feeling lately and...I really want to get married." I trailed off and a wide smile graced her face.

"Look at my baby girl growing up!" she cooed and placed a kiss on my cheek.

Shad

Me and the guys went by to see my mom since she cooked some of our favorites. She said she was just in the mood to cook so she did. She knows we love to eat so of course we were coming by. Chris and Ty big ass mouths ratted me out. Mama knows about Jay but didn't know we started dating.

"Ma it's not that deep. Really I'm just taking it slow."

"I told you that you were going to get with her. Now tell me this. What's different about this girl?"

"I don't know Ma!" I chuckled. "Really Ma we just being us." I shrugged not really wanting to go into details; the guys just chuckled as they stuffed their faces with peach cobbler. "Well I want to meet this girl who made my son forget about his mother." she teased.

"Ma I talked to you three days ago!"

"So!" Me and the guys busted out into laughter.

My mama is a whole fool, but I love her.

After we left my moms and she told me about a family gathering coming up she invited the guys and told us to bring our girls. More so hinting a me. Only reason Jay hasn't met Mama yet is because I don't no pressure on us nor do I want to rush anything. We just starting out. We comfortable.

Anyway the girls are coming over to chill before we go out on this triple date — it was the girls idea. I would've just been cool with chilling at the crib. The girls felt like they need to 'reconnect' so we went along with them.

"Aye how about instead of bowling we go out to the club." Tyga suggested earning agreements from me and Chris. After about ten minutes of persuasion they finally caved in.

Once we got to the club we got our drinks and vibed to the music and sipped our drinks. Around Jay's third or fourth drink her eyes flickered something familiar and before I knew it that island accent was flowing effortlessly from her lips.
