"Honey, you've got a letter!"
Niall sipped his coffee, trying to wake himself up on this slow Monday morning. He was supposed to leave for work in ten minutes, but still wasn't even fully dressed.
"It looks important..." Sarah said, handing him the letter. Niall kissed her on the cheek.
It had been five years since graduating from The School for the Specially Gifted. There had been a few meetings with "the movement", but for the past two years nothing had been said and the boys had drifted away from each other, moving on with their lives. Niall and Sarah had indeed stayed together, and after five years of being together Niall was planning to pop the question... Niall also missed the four boys who had been there with him in two of the most important years of his life, and he wished they would still see each other.
Niall ripped open the letter and sleepy eyed tried to read it. Slowly though, Niall's eyes widened as he read on and by the time he'd reached the bottom of the letter he seemed to be in a state of shock.
"Niall, what is it? What's wrong?" Sarah asked, spotting the look on Niall's face.
"They want us. The movement. It says that we're needed urgently. It says they have a plan." Niall continued to stare at the letter, re-reading it over and over. Sarah raised her eyebrows as she watched Niall.
"When do you need to meet them?" Sarah asked with a look of concern.
"Tonight. It's happening tonight..." Niall said, placing the letter on the table. Sarah sat down and put her hand on top of Niall's hand.
"You'll be careful, right?" Sarah pleaded Niall. Niall looked up and smiled at Sarah.
"Of course, I wouldn't want to leave my princess..." Niall said as he leaned forward and gently kissed Sarah on the lips. Niall not only appreciated that school for his four friends, but for finding his true love...
Liam shut his front door and picked up the random mail laying on the floor that had been slotted through his letter box that day while he was out at work. He was currently living in a small one bedroom flat, high up in a skyscraper towering over London. Liam didn't have many people round, maybe a friend from work now and then but honestly since leaving school Liam hadn't found himself making many friends. Zayn had been round a few times but it had been quite a few months since he last saw him, and quite a few more than that since he saw all the boys.
Liam rifled through the letters, sorting them out as either bills or letters from work. Liam had a simple office job but hoped one day to move on to bigger things, he just didn't know what yet. There was one letter at the bottom of the pile that looked a lot different to the others. It looked very important and had nothing on it other than Liam's address. He opened it first, curious as to what was inside.
Liam read the letter, and immediately picked up his phone when he finished reading it and dialled the first number in his favourites.
"Zayn?" Liam's voice said over the phone line.
"Liam! What's up mate? Long time since we spoke." Zayn replied, a happy tone to his voice.
Zayn was sat in his living room, flicking through different TV shows. He moved back up to Bradford after school to go to university, and once he graduated he had bought himself a house and now worked as an assistant teacher in a local high school. He enjoyed his job and was excited for the day he could complete his teacher training and have English classes of his own.
"I'm good, just reading this letter. Have you seen it?" Liam asked. Zayn frowned to himself.
"I don't check my mail everyday, I should really. Let me look." There was a ruffling down the phone line as Liam heard Zayn walking round his house trying to find letters and then struggled to open an envelope.
"I assume it's this plain envelope you're talking about..." Zayn said down the phone. Liam said nothing, waiting for him to read the letter. There was a few moments of silence as Zayn read the letter.
"Tonight?" Is all Zayn said, staring at the letter in his hand.
"That's what it says." Liam said.
"Well then, I better get down to HQ. It's going down tonight." Zayn said, a hint of excitement in his voice.
"I'll see you there. Long time since we saw each other, it'll be good..."
Louis sat at his kitchen table in his family's home. After graduating from university, Louis moved back in with his family to help and look after everyone. Honestly, Louis just felt a bit detached from his mum after living away from her and his family for years, and he wanted to spend a bit of quality family time at home or a few months before moving on.
"This ones for you love." Louis' mum said as she threw one of the letters across the table. Louis set his tea down to read the letter.
When he finished reading, he looked up for a moment, lost in thought. Suddenly he jumped up from the table and grabbed his jacket off the back of his chair.
"I'm going out mum, don't save any tea for me. I'll be back soon." He shouted as he walked down the hallway.
"Oh okay then... love you!" Louis' mum shouted.
"Love you!" Louis shouted back as he slammed the front door, got in his car and speedily drove off down the road.
Harry was already on the train heading to the HQ within London where the boys were to meet. As soon as he got home and read the letter he ran to the train station and took the earliest one to London. Harry had decided to start university later and was in his last year, and was studying psychology at Oxford University. Harry didn't want to just forget his powers, so thought he'd put them to good use and somehow make a career of it, even if people didn't know he had a power.
Harry was scared. He knew that tonight would be dangerous trying to take down this group 'The Powerful'. It had been heard that they had an attack in the planning, and 'the movement' wanted to take them down before anything drastic happened...
Harry stepped onto the curb outside the HQ. It was a large warehouse, but no one knew what was in there apart from those that went in. Others just assumed it was a large storage unit. Around the corner then appeared a familiar face; Liam Payne.
"Well if it isn't Mr Muscles himself." Harry smiled. Liam laughed and brought Harry in for a hug.
"Long time no see, sir." Liam replied. Soon enough three cars pulled up, and out each one came Niall, Louis and Zayn.
"Well if it isn't the four amigos." Louis said as he stepped out his car.
"What's up shit heads." Niall added as he jumped out his car.
"Well that's rude..." Zayn replied, walking over to the others.
"It's necessary. We haven't all been together in months..." Niall said.
"Well, we're all here now, and shit's about to happen. Shall we?" Louis said, gesturing to the door. The boys followed as Liam opened the door and stepped into the dark warehouse.
