Harry spent most of his afternoon classes trying to figure out what these strange feelings were that he kept getting. It was like he was about to mind read but then something would stop him. Also, who was he trying to mind read? Harry soon figured it out. Louis. Louis Tomlinson, the cute boy. Harry couldn't stop thinking about him. During English, Harry kept glancing over to Louis and Louis had spotted him once, to which Harry just quickly glanced in another direction, leaving Louis to ponder over whether Harry had purposefully been looking at him.
Harry realised that his sexual orientation may not be what most people had assumed. Harry had had girlfriends in the past, but the relationships never lasted long and the girls always ended up just being better off as friends. Harry had always felt more comfortable and closest around boys, and he'd just assumed it was a lad thing; he thought it was a nervousness of girls. Harry was starting to wonder whether he was actually straight...
"Harry?" Harry looked up at Ms Leveton, poised in front of him.
"Hmm?" Harry mumbled. Ms Leveton sighed.
"I asked you a question Harry. What's the answer?" The teacher pointed to a large algebraic sum on the board to which Harry had paid no attention to.
"Oh, um, I don't know." Ms Leveton sighed again.
"Do pay attention Mr Styles..." Ms Leveton said before picking on another student. Harry quickly fell back into his thoughts until the bell rang for the end of the day.
At 3pm students were allowed to rest in their dorm rooms or go outside, just like any break. At 4.30pm they then had to report to the great hall for a school meeting before dinner at 5pm. From 5.30pm onwards the rest of the night was yours, up until the 9pm curfew. All students were to be in their dorm rooms by then, although not everybody obeyed these rules.
Harry arrived in his dorm room to find Liam and Zayn already there, sat on a bunk bed together discussing something. They must've clicked during their last lessons, Harry thought to himself. Harry threw himself onto his bed, minding his head on the low bunk. Sleeping on the bottom bunk wasn't ideal for a tall lad like Harry, but he daren't ask to swap with Louis. Harry lay on the bunk and read through one of his books he'd been given in class.
At 4pm Louis and Niall wandered in, Niall laughing along with Louis at something Louis must have said.
"Ah you're a right craic!" Laughed Niall before jumping up onto his bunk. Louis did the same.
Harry felt a small pang of jealousy of Niall, but ignored the feeling. He continued to read this book, but Louis interrupted him when a head appeared over the top of his bunk.
"Hellooo!" exclaimed Louis, before taking the book out of Harry's hand. Harry sat up in shock, hitting his head on the wooden slates of the bunk above him. He rubbed his head, not wanting to complain out loud.
"What we got here then?" Louis asked, flicking through the pages of the book. He flipped to the front cover, which had the words 'Of Mice and Men'. Louis scoffed slightly.
"What you got this for then Hazza?" Harry stood up out of his bunk, still rubbing the back of his head.
"Ms Leveton gave it to us in English. I thought I'd start reading mine now." Louis looked slightly puzzled for a moment and then a light seemed to turn on in his brain.
"Oh yeah! That. I wasn't gonna read that." Louis said before throwing the book back at Harry. Niall laughed at Harry's awkward jerk he had to make in order to catch the book. Harry sat on Liam's bunk so that he was opposite Louis.
"Let's do something fun lads. Ooh, I know, let's go onto the topic of powers again. We discovered what powers we had this morning. Now let's learn how we found out about these powers..." Louis looked around at each lad mischievously, obviously excited to share his story.
"No volunteers? Alright then, I'll go first." Louis cleared his throat sarcastically.
"Oh god..." Zayn muttered, to which Liam mumbled something to Zayn quietly, causing them to both laugh. Louis jokingly scowled at them before continuing.
"Well, it was one weekend when I was about 12. Me and my mate were messing around when, I can't even remember why, he pissed me off so I went to punch him-" Louis abruptly stopped as Niall burst out laughing.
"Punch him! Wow, that's so funny! Ahahahaha!" Niall continued to laugh into his pillow while the others stared, questioning the mental state of Niall.
"Anyway... I went to punch him, but before my hand touched his face he flew 5 feet backwards. Literally flew." Harry looked up at Louis.
"What did your mate say?" Harry asked. Louis chuckled slightly to himself.
"He didn't. He peed himself!" Everyone laughed then, sharing the first moment where they'd felt totally comfortable around each other.
"What happened after that?" Niall asked, intrigued to hear more from the boy that seemed to amuse him so easily.
"Well, obviously his parents didn't believe him when he told them what happened. They put it down to us just playing some game that he took too seriously. My parents on the other hand seemed to understand, as they went on to tell me that my grandma was also a tele-kinetic. It must've skipped a generation and I got it. So when I was 14 they signed me up to this school and now at 16, here I am." The boys all nodded, thinking over Louis' story.
"I did something similar. Except I did actually punch him." The boys' attention diverted away from Louis to Liam, sat on Zayn's bunk. The boys waited for him to carry on.
"I started to go to a boxing gym when I was 11 because I got bul-", Liam suddenly stopped himself, not wanting to embarrass himself in front of 4 boys he'd only just met. "I'd had trouble in school, so I wanted to learn to box. They put me in the ring with a 12 year old to test out how I was, and I punched right in the face and he flew back 15 feet or something, straight out the ring. The thing is, I felt nothing. It was as if I'd punched a feather or something. Everyone in the gym just stared before all clapping. They put it down to me just being naturally good at boxing, and I kept on training. It wasn't till a year later that I actually told my dad that, which is when he told me that he has the same thing but just never told me. My sister Ruth has it too, that's why no one messes with her." Zayn chuckled and Louis, Harry and Niall looked at Liam, impressed.
"Well then Mr. Payne, I hate to admit it but that story was far more exciting than mine. I also now know who to not mess with..." The boys all laughed just as the bell rang, signalling for all the students to go down to the hall.
"Guess we'll have to wait for Niall, Zayn and Harry to share their stories another time." Louis said as he jumped down from his bunk and patted Harry on the shoulder, before sauntering out the door. The boys all followed as they made their way to the great hall.
