It just happened.
Slowly, it took time.
A lot of mixed emotions.
She talked to many people, she shed a lot of tears.
It wasn't easy...
She avoided him.
Blocked him out.
She got angry,
She got sad,
She got mad.
Sometimes all at once.
Of course she occasionally cared about him but she had to remind herself that she was never going back.
So she pushed forward.
She avoided everyone, she stopped texting people.
She put up a brave face in public when all she wanted to do was go home and be by herself.
She looked at their pictures,
She watched their videos
Listened to songs that reminded her of their love.
She stayed up all night watching romance movies,
She read books and poems about love.
She wanted the pain to go away.
So she deleted all of their memories.
She hid the gifts he gave her because she didn't have the heart to destroy them.
She began seeing her friends.
She stopped talking about him.
And one day it just hurt less...she felt better.
He occasionally pops up in her head but that's all she'll let him be; a memory in the back of her head.
