There you were, after 2 months of not seeing each other.

She grinned at you as she gave you an impersonal embrace.

Your hugs were always a little impersonal she remembered as she sat down beside you.

You looked good,

you seemed okay.

The conversation flowed awkwardly at first but soon it was back to normal,

chatting it up like they had been talking through the two months of silence.

She laughed and smiled wildly more aware of her movements her subconscious trying to make you like her again.

You always liked her laugh.

And then you mentioned someone...a girl.

She had helped you? helped you how?

Stab!

She tried to hold her smile as her heart picked up its pace,

Could you notice?

She tried to think about anything else other than what you were talking about.

She couldn't,

why would you say this? You were doing just fine...

You continued to talk about this, this girl...

7 am?

What were they doing together at 7 am?

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!

It was happening.

She couldn't move, you definitely knew what you were doing. You saw the pain, but you gently twisted the knife despite it. Continuing your assault on her fragile heart.
