It's time for the mission.
"Hailey! Focus!" Connor yells at me in the SUV we are in right now.
"Sorry. It's just-nevermind." I say and he starts to study me.
"Okay...." he mumbles and I nod.
We pull up into the cargo port of a dock.
I grab an extra pistol and put it in my boot.
I also grab an AK-47 and it's strap and pull it around my torso. Everyone starts unloading after me and we all stock up on ammo.
Once we're done with that, I start leading my group to a part of the dock.
"When the enemy comes you wait for me to signal to take your guns out. If he gives us "the drugs" then we're all set." I say and they all nod.
I put my glasses on and so does my team.
"Hey! We're here!" A man's voice says out of nowhere.
"Hello." I say and stay with one worded conversations.
"Do you have the money?" He asks and I don't even nod or shake my head, but respond with a sassy statement, like always.
"You listen here, we don't owe you anything, yet you owe us everything. You owed us this shipment for a while now. I don't even have to give you money, but out of the kindness of my heart, I will give you half, if not any at all." I say and he is silent for a while.
I look at my team, and they all are stunned at my wording.
I shrug and look back at the guy.
"Ma'am, follow me and you can get your load." He says silently, and I narrow my eyes.
"Why is it so easy to get it from you?" I ask hesitantly.
"I just want you guys to leave me." He says and I slowly nod.
"Okay..." I follow him and I signal for my team to take out their guns.
I hear guns being loaded behind me and I know my team is aiming it at the guy.
"Okay, let's cut to the chase here." I say once we reach a stocking shelf with a few wooden boxes.
"Alright." He says a little too quickly for my liking.
"You give us the stache, and I give you half of the money owed, deal?" I ask and he nods.
"Good." I say and then I wave my hand for one of our SUV's to pull up so we can load it with "the drugs".
Once my team is done packing up the SUV, the guy starts acting weird.
"What's your problem?" I ask him and he shakes his head.
I slowly go down and take out my gun from my boot.
I aim it at the guy and he raises his hands in defense.
"Hey, hey, hey! What is wrong?" He asks and I shake my head.
"What's your problem!" I yell at him and he starts laughing out of nowhere.
What is up with this crazy man?
"Do you really think I would let you go? Your team can leave, but your our payment." He says and I shake my head.
"No I'm not. That wasn't the deal." I say and he smiles.
"Why don't you ask your Boss then?" He says and I take my phone out of my pocket and still keep my gun aimed on him.
"Hey guys! Why don't you aim at him so I can call Boss?" I say and then the guys take their positions behind me, and this time they aim their guns at his head.
I dial the Bosses number and he picks up after a few rings.
"Hello Hailey, what's up?" He asks.
"I was wondering....Did you say to the guy that I was payment for the stache?" I ask him and he breathes heavily through the phone.
"Hailey....I forgot to tell you. I'm sorry." He says and I gasp.
He sold me to him?
"What is wrong with you?!" I yell at him and he pauses.
"I am sorry Hailey, I will get you back though." He says with so much certainty and it scares me.
"No. I am done with all of this. You never cared about me and nor does anybody else." I say and hang up.
I put my phone back in my pocket, and turn to my team.
They all give me sad looks, and I find out they already knew.
"Wow. You guys just abandon me, don't you?" I say and then signal for them to lower their guns.
I put my gun away and then I walk up to the guy.
"I'm all yours then." I say sadly and he smirks.
I know he just though of a sexual innuendo, but if he wants to try me, I will shoot him.
I mean I can just kill him, but then his gang will come after me.
I don't want to bring that upon us.
"Alright come on." He says and I look back at my team and flip them off.
I turn back around, but am grabbed my wrist, and turned around quickly.
"Hailey, I will come back to get you." Daniel says and kisses me quickly.
I yank my wrist out of his grip and back away.
"Yeah right." I whisper and turn around and walk with the guy.
Well, let's see where this goes.....
