(Sorry about the lateness guys, school has been hectic. Anyways, here's a new chapter!! Don't forget to comment and vote! Also remember my collaboration account!)?

Morning sun shone through the slits of the blinds of the spare room in the Nabberrie-Skywalker house.

Anakin Skywalker cracked open his eyes to meet the glare as he shaded his eyes with his golden hand. He let out a slow yawn and rubbed his eyes with a little grin creasing his lips. Yesterday was amazing, he kissed her. He finally kissed her! After 17 long, agonizing years he finally got to kiss his angel again. He hoped that would be the first of many and that yesterday wasn't just luck.

He could hear his old friends voice in his head the moment the word 'luck' came involved.

There is no such thing as luck.

Anakin chuckled, 'if there is no such thing as luck then I don't know how I pulled that off yesterday.'

He threw off the cotton sheets and kicked his legs over the edge, instantly he pressed his hand to his right rib and hissed. He didn't even need to ponder why the throbbing was back after months of it causing him little to no problems.

"Falling off a beast to show off... Not my best plan." He grumbled aloud, trying to sooth the shooting pain in his side. Literally.

He figured he'd just go back to sleep for a while and let it dullen, he pulled the covers back over his navy sleep pants when his data pad lit up and beepped, much to his annoyance.

Anakin hauled himself back up and snatched it nervously, it had been four months and the rebels were going to summon him back to the front lines soon. According to the holo, they've scored some victories but recently they've suffered another bombing on an ally they have sworn to protect.

The planet was furious and the insurgency had been quite busy, dealing with them recently, attempting to gain back their allegiance. However, things were looking grim and they were constantly threatening to expose them to the empire. Anakin was filled with some relief they have sent his old master to negotiate, if anyone could sway them back to their side, Obi-Wan could.

Anakin grimaced. The name still brought him hurt, but the sting was pushed back into his blocked off mind, behind the massive memory wall where no one, sometimes not even himself could access it. That's where the most depressing, horrific thoughts dwelled and that's where it belonged. He knew he'd never see his master again anyway so why torture himself over it?

He forced his mind away from the thought once a mini blue tinted Padmé appeared from the datapad. His closed lips stretched into an allayed smile once he caught sight of her, enamored with her melodic voice as he listened to the blissful sound. Memories of their kiss washed over him like a warm wave of water. It took him 4 grueling months of her hate and distances to get her to finally kiss him, but then again it took 10 years last time.

Anakin, the twins and I decided to go out for brunch. You were still asleep by 1300 and because of the pain you were in last night because you're so manic, we decided to let you sleep. -He chuckled as he saw her smirk and roll her eyes when she implied about his reckless nature. He really missed that.- There are clean clothes in the family room on the couch, have a good day there is leftover dinner and cake in the fridge.- Anakin only beamed brighter as he heard his kids call out from a distance. "Hi dad!"  Then Padmé's holographic form giggled. Her blue lips curved up into a smile and waved a cute three fingered farewell as the blue tinted beauty faded away into the sunlight.

Anakin couldn't stop smiling as he set the datapad back down onto the night table. His wife had left him a note about generic, mundane things for the day and she took his kids out to brunch. He wished he was there too, but in hindsight he knew he should let them have their time together. He had been glued to all of them like a Jedi to his lightsaber for the last few months and he believed they deserved a break from him. To most, a note didn't mean much, and was something stupid to gush over, but Anakin, for the first time yet, felt like an actual husband and father.
