The following day, the twins decided to begin their hunt for answers of who this 'Anakin Skywalker' was to their mother and why he seemed to cause her such discomfort.

Now remember Luke, we have to approach this slowly. We have no idea what this guy did or what he'll do.

Luke did the mental equivalent of a scoff.

He can't do much Leia...

Not physically, but have you felt how formidable his force signature is? It has to be over 20,000 midichlorians. It's only slightly higher than you or I.

Whatever, I'm pretty sure we could take him if he attacks us. Obi-Wan taught us well.

Don't get cocky. She finished as they strode inside the spare room to see the handsome stranger propped up on some cushions to allow him to sit comfortably. He was fiddling with his datapad, the twins assumed it came with his belongings.

Anakin glanced up from his datapad to see the young adults shuffle inside with a stern look on both their faces. He couldn't help but smile knowingly. After talking to Padmé and knowing he still had all his brain neurons and hadn't gone delusional, he had easily pieced the puzzle together to discover these two were indeed this offspring. The force was also kind enough to confirm his suspicions. That's why the daughter looked like a carbon copy of his wife and the son looked like he did around that age. But he smiled more than Anakin had...

He wanted nothing more than to grab them into a bone crushing hug and tell them for only the second time in his life 'I'm your father and I love you.' Who he was, that he loved them and their mother to the end of the galaxy and back... but he couldn't.

Instead he bit down on his prattling tongue that always got him into trouble in the past and set aside his battle strategy planning, giving the interrogating duo his full attention.

As he studied their features he deciphered the emotions ranged from curiosity and skepticism to ire and frustration.

"Battle plans?" Luke asked curiously.

Anakin couldn't help but smirk in amusement. "I am a rebellion general, and you're surprised i'm studying battle plans?"

Luke's gaze veered off in embarrassment for having asked such an harebrained question.

"Who are you?" Leia interrogated fiercely. Luke glared at her, mentally chiding her for her bluntness she had previously just been repriming him about.

Leia slowly stalked closer to him, even though she was his daughter, he couldn't help but squirm under the harsh glare. Which he observed she got from her mother. He also wasn't sure if the tone was his or Padmé's doing.

"Tell us now!" She commanded louder, gritting her teeth.

Anakin smirked. Definitely his doing. "I'm general Anakin Skywalker, hero of the insurgency."

Luke rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. "You wanna say your grade point average too?" His son growled sarcastically.

"Mostly A's from the temple" He replied. His arrogance and amusement rising every minute in the, supposed to be tense interrogation.

Luke couldn't help but snicker until Leia shot him her death glare over her shoulder, causing Luke to trail off, covering it with a cough. Meanwhile, Leia pointed an infuriated finger at her chuckling father.

"Listen buddy, our mother is already depressed. But the second she spotted you, her internal conflict in the force hit a new record. Now i'll ask you again pompous. Who. are. you. to. our. mother?" Her deep brown eyes bore into his sky blue ones her eyes ordering him for the truth.
