“Blaine! I can't do this! I wasn't even in choir back home!” Aleigha protested as her older cousin was pushing her down the hallway of Dalton Academy. “You are an amazing singer and dancer, don't worry about it! You are trying out, period.” Blaine said with a smile

Dalton Academy for boys had gone co-ed for the first time and among the few spots open Aleigha Anderson was accepted in to be one of the 10 girls to attend.

As she was being pushed down the hall I made him stop by a mirror so I could fix my long brown hair that is so frizzy people think I'm Hermione from Harry Potter. “You look beautiful little girl!” Blaine said as he pushed even harder, “Don't worry they will love you!”

“Next up, Aleigha Anderson, Anderson? are you related to our Blaine here?” the head of the Warblers, I think his name is Wes, asked. “y-y-yes, I'm his cousin.” I replied in my unusual soft childish voice. “Alrighty then!” Wes said with excitement, “the floor is yours.”

“Skies are crying, I am watching

Catching tear drops in my hands

Only silence as it's ending

Like we never had a chance

Do you have to make me feel like

There's nothing left of me?

You can take everything I have

You can break everything I am

Like I'm made of glass

Like I'm made of paper

Go on and try to tear me down

I will be rising from the ground

Like a skyscraper

Like a skyscraper

As the smoke clears, I awaken

And untangle you from me

Would it make you feel better

To watch me while I bleed?

All my windows still are broken

But I'm standing on my feet

You can take everything I have

You can break everything I am

Like I'm made of glass

Like I'm made of paper

Go on and try to tear me down

I will be rising from the ground

Like a skyscraper

Like a skyscraper”

The room thundered with applause as I finished the song with tears in my eyes. I had never been praised for anything, let alone by an entire room. I went to sit down in my spot and I saw Blaine smiling from ear to ear. “Thanks” I mouth to him as he gives me a small thumbs up.

“That will be all, thank you all for auditioning, we will let you know this week.” Wes said afte the last student auditioned. “Good bye”
