“Kurt, can I talk to you?” I walked up to Kurt who was laying on the couch with his legs on Blaine's lap. “Um, sure. I'll be back.” He looked at me like I was interrupting something very important. “What?” he asked me with a harsh tone as we entered the kitchen. “What is wrong with me? Why don't you like me? You wouldn't look at me all night! Is there something wrong with me?”
He looked away once I finished. “I don't hate you, ok? It's just, I didn't think you liked me. When we first met you ran off and didn't come back out.” “I was confused! It's not every day your cousin who you look up to tells you he has a boyfrind. I didn't want to face it. When he told me he was gay he was getting bullied, I didn't want to see him go through that again. Kurt,” I looked him in the eyes, “ You have changed his life, for the better. Thanks. Now, can we be friends? We are so much alike Blaine is surprised we never talk.”
He looked at me with a small tear in his eye and reached out and hugged me. “Thank you, of corse we can be friends. I love him and I love who he tells me you are. Lets start over. Hi, I'm Kurt.” “I'm Aleigha, nice to meet you!” I smiled, I was so happy that he was now my friend. Kurt and I walk back out to the living room talking Broadway and see that Blaine was on the phone.
“Really? Well they are both here so I'll tell them if that's ok... Awesome! Bye!” I look at him with a puzzled face. “Joey, Aleigha, welcome to the Warblers!” he said with a huge smile as he ran to hug me. “Really?!?” Joey asked as he walked over to where Blaine was suffocating me. “Yup, that was Wes on the phone telling me who they had chosen and I said I was with you both, so he gave me permission to tell y'all. Practice starts tomorrow.”
After another hour of talking and hanging out at Kurt's Blaine says we need to leave. After thanking Burt and Carole and saying our good bye's to Rachel and Finn we pack up the car and head off.
When we arrive I awake to see that I was half laying on Joey's chest. “Opps, sorry. I didn't mean to.” I say as I feel my cheeks start to blush. “No problem, It's fine, and remember, I'm always here for you.” He pulls me in for a hug. I hug him back and unconsciously think, this is nice. “Well, Goodnight and thanks for inviting me Aleigha, I'll see you tomorrow.” and with that Joey runs off toward his dorm.
“He's a keeper Aleigha.” Kurt says to me with a smile. “We're not together Kurt!” I say “It sounds like you are trying to convince yourself.” Kurt reaches over to hug me “Go after him girl.” he wispers to me. “Night guys.” He leaves B and I in the parking lot.
“Lets go to bed Aleigha, it's late, and we have Warbler practice tomorrow.” He grabs my hand and we head upstairs. When we get in the room I have a text from Sebastian on my phone
S-Congrats girl! I'm glad you made it.
A-Thanks!! Can't wait to start! I'll see you tomorrow!!
S-Night!
After I delete the text's from Sebastian I pull up Rory's number and text him.
A-Rory!! I made it! I'm a Warbler!
R-Dang it! I don't wanna have to beat you at Regionals! Oh well, congrats anyway!
A-Um, I think we're the ones who will be winning! Lol anyway thanks!! hey? Wanna get coffee tomorrow after school?
R-Yeah, that would be nice! I'll call you when I'm done with Glee practice. Night beautiful!
