Edit 8/13/2020: I have absolutely no words..

My finger quickly ran along the keyboard before hitting send, but I was impatient and directly called her. It took a few seconds for her to pick up, but before her voice was on, I quickly said, "What do you mean?!"

There was a giggle and a few shuffling noises in the background before she replied, "I might send this to Killua."

"Why?! Don't you get it? He doesn't like me. In fact, he's bothered by me." My panicked voice trembled over the phone, hoping that she listened.

"No, not really," She mumbles, "instead, it might be the opposite."

Her mumbling made it hard to discern her words, and I couldn't tell what she was saying. I quickly ask, "What did you say?"

"Nothing." She replied.

Like earlier when she talked, there was background noises that was indistinguishable. Was I bothering her when I called? Just as I thought that, a familiar voice shouts, "Gon! Kan-"

"Guys, quiet it down!!" Kana shout, shutting the voices up an instant.

"Killua's voice...? Am I hearing it wrong?" I mumble. "Kana, you're with him?"

"Uh.." She paused, not answering my question. Then another voice gets on the phone as Kana tells the person off. Eventually, the person finally said, "Is that who I think it is? Y/n is on the line?"

"Kana, you're really with him?!" I could only look at my phone, not knowing whether I should feel happy or horror.

After hearing Killua get pushed away from the phone, Kana's voice answer me, "Yeah, we're cousins. Sorry for hiding it.."

"It's no wonder you kept saying that what you said. You actually knew him personally." I let out a sigh.

We chatted over the phone and cleared up anything we might have missed. Despite not knowing how to feel about being squished between the cousins, I shook it off and was just glad to know it now.

When I got to school the next day, I could see Kana and Killua bickering with each other. Kana didn't back down, only continuing to slightly raise her voice. This attracted attention that I didn't want to get into, but seeing them flame the heat, I couldn't stand by.

"Alright, alright. What's going on?" I said to her.

"Come with me." Killua took me by the wrist, leaving Kana with her arms crossed. Although she looked mad, she didn't stop him either. I obediently follow him without resistance.

However, looking around us, I could see the other students' gaze, especially the girls. He was popular indeed, too popular for me. I felt subconsciously judged as I continue to walk with him. There were immense pressure to explain to them what was going on and why he was holding me.

"Killua.. Maybe you shouldn't be holding onto me. Please stop." I said.

However, it seems that it didn't bother him. He only continue to walk with me, not answering me, so I said, "Please let go."

I yank back, getting my wrist out of his grip before taking a couple steps back. He looks at me, wanting to grab me again, and I put my hands behind my back. It didn't seem like he'll listen to me even if I told him no.

"Ow, my stomach hurts." I faked as I clutch my stomach. Slowly but surely, I start to walk away from him and to the infirmary. However, just when I thought I could get away, he was helping me. My cry over my stomach sounded so fake, yet he ignored that and helped me?

Upon getting to the infirmary, I laid down on one of the beds. The nurse gave me a painkiller before handing me water. I was a bit hesitant to eat medicine when I'm not in real pain, so I refused and told her that I'll get better in a bit. She seemed to understand and put the medicine away.

A knock fell over the door, and I could see Kana's head poking in. The nurse welcomes her as she went out the room before Kana came over, saying, "Did you hurt her? Why is she here?"

"Does it look like I did?" Killua looks at me.

"He didn't." I said.

She pats my back and comforts me before seeing grabbing my arm. They really were cousins, even grabbing me the same way. As she looks at it, I saw the red marks and look back at her.

"Killua, go away." Kana said as her brows furrow and her eyes glaring at him.

"What? Don't think that you can order me around just because you're a few months older than me!" He said.

"I'm just a bit older. Now get out." She coldly shove him back.

"Old hag." He said.

She kicks him out of the room and close it. I look at her, questioning, "Are you allowed to just kick him out?"

"Of course! Look what he did to you! Besides, the nurse isn't here at the moment." She looks around, rummaging through the small freezer. With a small plastic bag in her hand, she scoops some ice into the bag before zipping it shut. "Here."

"Thanks." I take the ice from her and place it on my wrist.

Her angry face was still stuck to her face as she said, "I knew he was rough but not this rough. That brat. Don't allow him to treat you like this again."

I nod my head, taking her words in. She was like my protector and best friend. Thanking her again, she continue to chat with me until first period began. I stayed stuck in the infirmary until second period. However, what greeted me at the door of my classroom was not Kana but Killua.

My face flush with a rising heat. His eyes that only stay glued to me felt like a laser penetrating through me.

"I'm sorry about my behavior from earlier today. I just felt... uneasy." He apologized, then quickly adds, "and don't think I'm doing this out of obligation or that I'm being told by Kana. I want to own up to my mistakes."

What the? He was like a kid one moment and a mature person the next. I let out a chuckle, knowing that he usually acted like this. He and Gon would always joke around, and this was just how he was.

"Get in. We can talk at my desk. Let's not block the doorway." I said as I walk past him and to my desk. He followed and pull a chair next to my desk. I realized that I wanted to ask him something. "By the way, how do you know my name? I don't think I told you before."

He gave me a perplexed look before saying, "Of course I do."

I didn't believe him and said, "No way. I'm.. your stalker. Why would you know?"

"Because Kana told me."

"Kana did?" I thought for a moment. It did seem like something she would do, especially since they're cousins. They can easily exchange information. I quickly put those thoughts aside and look at him, catching his stares my way. "Please stop looking at me."

"Why? You are mine." He said.

I tumble with my words and didn't know what to say. However, I knew he probably didn't mean anything further, so I didn't get my hopes up. As far as I've seen, he's fickle with girls. Why did I fall for him? I quickly stammer out, "Please don't say things as if we're dating."

"What are you saying?" He said.

"Don't say things that will get my hopes up!" I angrily said.

He didn't say anything back as if stunned for a moment. I quietly follow it up with an apology for being loud. His hand reaches out, caressing my face as if I had not just yelled at him. I froze, feeling angry for this, but I couldn't say anything.

Before I knew it, someone had come in and said, "Don't you dare play with her like that."
