Edit 8/13/2020: things are... going too fast

"New girl, new you, huh? Not so fast. If you don't like her, stop messing around. All you're doing is give her false hopes." Kana removed his hand from your face as she sat down in front of you two.

"I wasn't-"

"Then why are you suddenly interested in her? Usually, you won't even be with them 24/7. What is this? A new techni-"

"Didn't I tell you that I wasn't playing with her?!" This was the first time I heard Killua raise his voice so angrily. I look at them, not knowing what to do. He sighs and looks at me, "Sorry."

Killua heads out the door as Kana leans in and whispers, "Don't trust him too much.."

She left me with that warning before running after Killua. I sat there, frozen and trying to get all of the information processed through. They were always bickering bitterly when it came to me. Despite the period starting, I got up from my seat to chase after Kana. She didn't get too far, as they were in the hallways. Students scramble to get away from them, but they watched.

As I make my way through the crowd, I could see them tugging on each other's uniform collar. I stop them and shout for the students to disperse. A few stubborn students still watched, but eventually left once they were no longer at each other's throat.

"What's with you two? Don't just fight. I'm worried for you." I look at both of them.

Killua's eyes divert to he side and scratches his head. Kana assured me with her smile, but it was so forced that it was obvious. I hug her and said, "It's okay. I'm here if you want to talk."

She hug me back before letting me go. The bell to start class rings, startling me. We all laugh, knowing that we were late for class.

"Why are you three not in class?" The teacher firmly ask as he makes his way towards us.

It looks like my mom is going to get a phone call home today about me not being class. I start to feel dread running through me.

Killua and Kana nod at each other. She sprint the opposite of us and Killua took my hand and did the same. Somehow, their footsteps were both equally as quiet and only mine was loud. The teacher ran at us shouting, "What are you doing?! Give me your names for not being in class!"

Due to being a potato couch, I didn't have the stamina, which slowed me down with each time we ran further. Killua looks over at my exhausted self before scooping me up and sprinting even faster than before. I look at the teacher that was about to turn the same corner but went out of my sight. However, the teacher caught a glimpse of us.

We enter the storage room and quickly closed it. One locker was in sight. Killua quickly put us together in a locker. He got in first and drag me in.

"Close the it." He whisper.

I close it quietly but also quickly. The teacher burst in to see nothing, and through the small, thing windows of the locker, I could see him looking around. I had doubt that it would fit both of us, but it did. The only downside was that we practically squeezed into this locker together, leaving no gaps or space between us.

Due to sprinting and little air in the locker, Killua was quietly panting with each breath hitting my nape. An unfamiliar sensation sent goosebumps to arise. Luckily, it wasn't long until the teacher soon left the room, dumbfounded.

"I was so sure I saw students entering this room.." He mumbled before leaving.

The door closed with a 'klack,' and we waited in the locker for a few minutes, just in case he came back. When it did feel safe to come out, I couldn't get out without rubbing my body against his before finally getting space and air. Killua grabs my arm, putting it around his shoulder as we exit the storage room.

I didn't know exactly where he got his energy from, but he was support at least some of my body weight without a word. Since we couldn't just barge into class late, we went up to the top floor, sitting at the stairs by the door leading to the roof.

I sigh a breath of relief after we settled down. Killua seems awfully quiet. There was a red tint on his cheeks as he looks down the stairs, spaced out. Just as I was about to tap on him, he snaps out of it and looks at me.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Just spaced out." He said.

There was a concern expression on him. Something was up, and it seems like Kana and Killua was not going to tell me. Though a little uneased, I ask, "What are you worrying about?"

Seeing that he was unwilling to answer, I knew that I must've only gotten little information on him when I stalked if he was this unwilling to tell. So, instead of waiting for him to answer, I guess, "Are you worrying about family issues? The fact that you can only come here with permission due to the deal?"

He slightly glared at me as if I had said something wrong. Even though I felt uneasy, I said, "If it's not about that, then is it because you have frie-"

"Enough." He quietly mumble enough for me to hear.

As he gets up, he looks at me one last time before walking down the stairs. Despite wanting to say and ask more, I couldn't figure out what went wrong. Eventually, he said, "It's off. I can't do this anymore. I won't tell anyone about you stalking."

I couldn't fit any of my remaining words in the conversation as he disappears into the halls. What did I say wrong? His family? My stalking?

Despite this, I felt somehow relieved. Relieved that I didn't take him seriously because he was this fickle. One last time, I'll go see what he's up to.
