Lucy kicked the dead body away from her and looked at it in disgust. It rolled into the water. She crossed her arms and watched from the lake's shore as the body floated away, then it began to sink as it's lungs filled with water.
Up above, the sky was dark grey with the hint of an oncoming storm. Daemon must be in a mood, then again, when wasn't he.
The man she killed was named Dorian, he was a lawyer. And no, she did not regret, nor feel guilty about murdering him. She smiled when his body disappeared under the murky water, bubbles rising to the surface, then she walked away, the sand turned to grass and after a moment, a lonely carpark came into view. Her Maserati and a knocked up, brown piece of crap were the only cars in the lot. A few boys must've been drinking in the area, this was a common place for all sorts of illegal shit.
Lucy approached her car and looked down at herself, she frowned, her white jeans (bad choice) had blood on them. She opened the driver-side door and slipped her shoes off, throwing them inside. Then she took her jeans off and chucked them away, leaving her in her black underwear and tank top. She sensed a few raging hormones and drunk minds in the distance, a group of teenagers were on their way back to what was most likely a stolen car.
She hadn't brought a change of clothes, and she didn't want to go home. She shrugged, she didn't care about her lack of modesty. She noticed that there was a little blood on her car from when she had slammed Dorian against the concrete and he'd tried to get back up, using the car as something to lean on. Luckily, it was still wet. She pulled her tank over her head and used it to get most of the blood off the car, then she threw it roughly in the direction she'd thrown her jeans. She was left in a bra that matched her underwear.
Around that time a group of boys showed up in the parking lot. They looked at her, then her car, then her again. Lucy rolled her eyes and went to get into her Maserati.
"Wait!" One of them yelled. Lucy turned curiously, not saying anything.
"Are you even real?" One of them laughed as they approached her. This was definitely a waste of Lucy's time, she was not in the mood for male hormones.
"Of course she is dumbass, we aren't that drunk" One of them slurred.
"Well in that case, will you fuck my mate? He's still a virgin" The guy laughed, another one hit him, the presumed virgin. Lucy just looked at them neutrally. When they didn't get a reaction from her the tallest one, and the drunkest, went right up to her. She could smell the alcohol on his breath as he drank her in. Lucy became annoyed, he was too close.
"Or you could just do me right here in your car" He smiled, way too confident with himself.
"Pass," Lucy said and flipped her hair over her shoulder as she once again turned to get in her car. The boy reached out and grabbed her ass and two seconds later he was on the ground with Lucy's hand around his throat. She squeezed and he whimpered. The other boys were getting closer, ready to pull her off him, she knew they were also thinking about doing something else to her.
"Don't even try" She warned them. But of course, they did. There were four of them, not including the one who'd passed out beneath her. Swiftly, Lucy stood, kicked one of them in the chest and sent him flying, punched another in the gut and took one of their beer bottles and shattered it over another's head. The last one ran away and she smiled at all the groaning.
"Don't suppose you're behind a certain missing man? His name is Dorian" A man in his late twenties, wearing a dark blue suit approached her, stepping over a moaning body, he observes her work and he whistles, impressed.
"Depends on who's asking," Lucy says, watching the man closely as he approached her.
"My name is Rafe, and Dorian was my best lawyer. My phone connects to his and it lead me here, technology is very handy, don't you think?" Rafe laughs. Lucy grows confused and suspicious, he only looks at her face, which is odd because she's half naked. He doesn't look like he's lying, in fact, he seems a little too calm.
"Rafe," she repeated the name "and just who are you?" She found herself curious to know more about this man, she could always kill him later if that was needed. Rafe smiled genuinely at her.
"I run Lamprecht, a multi-million dollar investment company" Rafe looked smug, it made sense he was rich, the watch he wore looked like gold.
"Well, I can't help you with your lawyer, he's dead," Lucy says. Surprisingly, Rafe nods as though he expected as much, he doesn't even look upset. Lucy holds back a confused frown and keeps her composure. Rafe takes a few steps closer.
"I thought that may be the case," He said, did he know something he shouldn't? Lucy thought about whether or not she should pull his heart out, leaning towards yes.
"You're part of the Hellhounds, yes? I have a lot of consultants, it's very easy to find out who everyone is when you have the money I have," Rafe said, Lucy had forgotten that people might know her for her hobby on earth.
"I'm the leader actually, why am I worth digging into?" Lucy asks. The guy she'd knocked out earlier came to and tried to stand, Lucy swiftly kneed him in the face, he fell back to the ground with a heavy thump. Rafe watched, curious as she pulled a large denim jacket with souvenir patches ironed onto it from the unconscious man and put that on, not for modesty purposes, it was just nice.
"I have someone I need, well, taken care of, and I don't want it traced back to me in any way," Rafe said. Lucy raised an eyebrow.
"And just what would I get out of that?" Lucy said, crossing her arms, causing her breasts to come to attention, still, Rafe looked at her eyes. If it was money he planned on offering, Lucy was not interested, no matter the temptation of death, she didn't work for anyone.
"I'm glad you asked," He said. Rafe straightened his suit and tie, "My consultants have informed me of a boy outside of your gang that you've had contact with," Lucy's stomach tightened involuntarily as Rafe mentioned Percy. This man knew a lot, a little too much for her liking. Rafe sensed that she didn't like where he was going with this, nevertheless, he continued on, smiling ever so slightly. He was lucky Lucy let him continue to speak.
"Percy Hannover. We have important information on him that we think you might want to know" He said. Once again, Lucy was angry at herself for even being interested.
"What makes you think I care about him?" Lucy says. Rafe looked like he was going to laugh. He gestured to her hands, they had formed fists at her sides, her nails digging into roughly into her palms.
"You did that as soon as I said his name," Rafe said. Lucy silently cursed herself.
"So, do we have a deal Miss Dian?" Rafe said, reaching out a hand. It always felt weird to hear someone call Lucy by a fake name, even if it was only a last name. She couldn't help herself, her hand shook his without thinking.
