It is reported that ‘Abdullâh b. Mas’ûd – radyAllaahu anhu – said, “One of the worst sins is when a man says to his brother, “Fear Allaah,’ and he replies, “Worry about yourself.”

"**Bismillah" I mouthed before starting my **wudoo. I remember copying my father and my older brother when I was just a boy. I remember throwing the water at Salih, he used to chase me around with a stick at hand "Errghhh, Abii, I swear I'm going to beat this boy this time! " He used to say. This usually happened in the Masjids, and the elders used to laugh at us, so hard.
I finished my wudoo and said my dua:
" **Ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa 'ash-hadu 'anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa Rasooluhu,
" ** Allaahummaj'alnee minat-tawwaabeena waj'alnee minal-mutatahhireen,
" ** Subhaanaka Allaahumma wa bihamdika, 'ash-hadu 'an laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta, 'astaghfiruka wa 'atoobu 'ilayk.
I started praying my sunnah salaah first, as I want many palaces in Jannah, and then started praying my dhur Salaah, which is the second obligatory salaah in the 5 daily prayers. Surah Fatiha is one of my favourite surahs, because within it your praising Allah but your also making dua.
'Alhamdulilahi Rabil Ala-meen - All Paise is to Allah, Lord of the Worlds
Ar'Rahmanir Raheem - The Most Beneficient, The Most Merciful
Malikee Yumid'deen - Owner of the Day of Judgement
Iyaka Nabudoo wa iyaka nastaeen - You Alone we worship, You Alone we ask for help
Ihdinas-siratal Mustaqeem - Guide us onto the Straight Path
Sira-tal Ladheena an-amta alayhim, ghairil mag-doobi alahyim walad-dhaaleen. - The path of Those whom you have favoured, not of those whom have earned Your anger, nor of those whom have gone astray.
Ameen '- O Allah please grant it.
Within these Verses, are mentioned the categories of Tawheed, Asama wa-sifaat - Names and Attributes of Allah, Al-Rubobiyaah - Lordship Al-Uloohiyaah - Worship. Allah also responds to the slave when he recites these verses, First Allah says, with the first 3 verses, 'My servant has praised me', Then Allah says, 'I will give what my servant asks for'. And the servant says, 'Guide us onto the Straight path, The path of those whom You have favoured, not of those whom have earned your anger nor of those whom have gone astray.'
That is why Surah Fatiha is one of the obligatory categories of Salaah, and that is also why we should pay attention in our salaah. SubhanAllah, how can I turn away from My Lord, when He is responding to me. When I am talking to Him, he responds to me directly, addressing me, and making me seem like the most important person.
I remember the hadith that my father once told me:
Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: While Jibril (Gabriel) was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam), he heard a sound above him. He lifted his head, and said: "This is a gate which has been opened in heaven today. It was never opened before.'' Then an angel descended through it, he said: "This is an angel who has come down to earth. He never came down before.'' He sent greetings and said: "Rejoice with two lights given to you. Such lights were not given to any Prophet before you. These (lights) are: Fatihah-til-Kitab (Surat Al-Fatihah), and the concluding Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah. You will never recite a word from them without being given the blessings it contain s.''
