"Are you going to tell me why you stormed out on Tom the other day?" My mum said, looking through my wardrobe.

"No" I muttered, I couldn't be bothered to go to this party, I wasn't in the mood for celebrating, plus I knew Tom would work his magic and I'd end up forgiving him.

"Cant you just wear something...girly for once?" My mum moaned, failing to find something in my wardrobe that she approved of.

"No" I said in the same monotone voice as I had previously answered her with.

"Well you can atleast wear some heels" she sighed, taking my over worn converse off my bed so I couldn't get them.

"Fucks sake" I muttered under my breath, it was only a party at Toms house, not the Hilton Hotel. I gently backcombed my already wavy hair and finished my makeup off with some light powder, atleast making an effort would stop her moaning.

"Mum I'm gonna break my neck walking in these" I shouted down the stairs as I slipped my heels on.

"Then you'll have to learn, heel toe heel toe darling" My mum smiled as she appeared at the bottom of the stairs.

"I'm gonna take them off as soon as we get there" I said to wind her up.

"Maddie you have a gorgeous figure, the heels simply emphasise it" She smiled adoringly at me, eurgh. I looked in the mirror at my outfit, black wedges, black tights, dark denim high waisted shorts and a white Oasis t-shirt tucked into them. It would have to do. I sprayed my hair with some hairspray and sprayed my body with my favourite perfume before attempting to walk down the stairs.

"Someones had a growth spurt" Tom shouted in my ear over the music as I helped myself to a beer from the fridge.

"Fuck off Parker" I said turning round to hand him a beer too, a way of saying lets forget our arguement.

"You look so different in them" Tom laughed looking down at my legs.

"Erm, thanks?" I said shrugging my shoulders, I didn't know if it was a compliment or if he was being his usual sarcastic self. I just needed to get bladdered, as much as I loved my Mum and Tracy for throwing this party, I hated being the centre of attention, and I was tired of being introduced to people who I didn't even know. Usually Tom's Mum and Dad threw amazing parties so I knew as the night went on it would get better.

"Want to go into the shed?" Tom asked, already knowing my answer.

"Please" I said thankfully, that boy could read my mind sometimes I swear.

"Not before we get some more drinks though" I smiled grabbing some beers out of the cooler boxes in the dining room.

"Mad head" Tom tutted, not hesitiating in helping me grab some more though. We walked down the bottom of the garden, towards the shed. It sounds sad but it was mine and Tom's favourite place, we'd decorated it with deck chairs, a mini refrigerator, and I'd added a girly touch with some fairy lights. I swore under my breath as my heels sunk into the grass, this wouldn't have been a problem in my converse or my hi tops.

"Come here" Tom laughed pulling me up onto his back to save me from walking.

"I'm gonna miss this place" I said sadly as I took in the sorroundings, all the little details of the shed that showed just how long me and Tom had been friends. The paint on the walls of our handprints as we'd grew up over the years, starting from when we had been infants up until last year.

"Arw come on Mads, stop being all soppy" Tom smiled as he sat down into his deckchair.

"I am though!" I insisted, sitting down into my chair to stop myself from becoming emotional.

"Typical emotional girl" Tom tutted trying to wind me up.

"Shutup and take my shoes off" I said cheekily as I placed my legs on his, these shoes were ridiculous.

"I must admit, I do prefer you in trainers" Tom laughed trying to pull one of the heels off, as the shoe flew off the force of Tom pulling my leg caused the deck chair to just, well, collapse.

"Oh, my, god" Tom said laughing his loudest laugh, he was unable to speak without huge breaths inbetween his words due to the laughter. My body was stuck in the chair and only my legs were kind of sticking out at the top.

"Tom help me" I said cyring with laugher, I didn't even have time to think before the chair had snapped me up.

"No way, I've got to get a picture" Tom laughed as I heard him patting his jean pickets, trying to find his phone.

"Dont you fucking dare" I laughed, I was caught up between finding the situation extremely hilarious and really not wanting my picture to be taken, Tom would use it against me for life.

"Too late, how the hell am I supposed to get you out of there Maddie?" Tom laughed, pulling at my feet to try and free me.

"Quick I think my backs snapping" I giggled dramatically.
