26. Earth
Syra struggled to escape Sebastian's arms to see if it was really who she thought it was that had spoke.
He wouldn't allow her up though and that only frightened her more.
"You need to relax, Syra. You'll miscarry if you don't," Sebastian whispered in her ear and Syra's breath caught.
She immediately stopped struggling and relaxed into him. Her fear didn't completely disappear, but it eased while she was in his arms.
Her Urges rose again and fell as the voice began speaking again. It seemed her child wanted to be fed and relatively soon.
"What baby, I said?" Roy stepped into view, his eyes narrowed and a sneer tore up his otherwise handsome-like face.
If you know, you could get past his awful personality.
Syra couldn't. She glared up at Roy, covering her little bulge.
"OUR baby," Sebastian snarled, rising with Syra still cradled gently in his arms.
"That's disgusting! How could you create a child with...some whöre! Give her to me, I'll rid you of the child-- both of you. I'm sure she has no maternal feelings anyways," Roy said as he crept closer, holding his arms open to take Syra as his eyes glinted malciously.
Sebastian stepped back, whirling about to place Syra gently on the stone bench and stood in front of her.
"You stay away from her. Zelina was wrong and she knows it. Syra does feel. We are together."
Roy stopped, shock flooding over his features before he backed away. "You...you're both starting the uprising. It's -- it's unnatural. Does Zelina know of the child?"
Syra couldn't see Sebastian's face, but she knew he never got an answer out.
"She doesn't, does she? Oh, this is great. When she finds out, she'll kill you both for sure or maybe it'll just be your demon spawn," Roy chuckled and began to turn.
Sebastian was quick though and had a knife to Roy's throat in seconds. Roy paled visibly and went to reach up to pull Sebastian's arm away. Bast dug in the knife deeper, a red stream of blood flowing down Roy's neck.
"Still think you'll be telling?" Sebastian growled.
Roy didn't respond with the blade of the knife pressed firmly against his throat.
"Maybe I should just cut your tongue out for good measure, eh?" Sebastian asked, his voice deep and threatening. He oozed power it seemed not even Roy-the-angel could handle.
Sebastian eased up his hold and Roy shook his head frantically.
"No? You don't?" Bast taunted and Syra stared, unfazed, she felt an immeasurable amount of relief at Roy being reduced to a cowering mass.
"No! No, please. You don't want to do any of that, Zelina will hunt you down and skin you. I am a favorite of hers. I swear I won't say a word," Roy spluttered and tripped over his words he spoke so fast.
Sebastian glanced at Syra. "Do you believe him?"
Syra didn't even contemplate if Roy wouldn't tell, she simply shook her head no.
She did not believe Roy, at all.
"Well, it seems my lovely lady doesn't believe you, Roy my boy. What have you got to say?"
Roy sent a fleeting look over to Syra, but she stared back mercilessly. Sebastian went to move, but suddenly something was hissing through the air. It landed with a solid thump -- in Roy.
