A/N Hello! So, this is the beginning of my AC3 fanfiction! I do hope that you enjoy and Connor comes in around chapter three! Comment, vote, like, and what not :)

Finally, a weekend dedicated to me and my best friend Violet; no homework to worry about, our phone's are on silent, and here we are eating popcorn and playing on the Xbox.

Or at least Violet is trying to.

"I don't understand why you're so nuts about Assassin's Creed or why you're so in love with Edward and Connor," Violet complains as she plays Haytham fighting redcoats.

"Oh fuck a duck! I should've killed that sucker!" I snort at her frustration while drinking a soda and almost spill it everywhere. Seeing Violet frustrated at something has always been one of my favorite things, especially since she's been ranting over Assassin's Creed 3 the entire time she's been playing it.

"It's fun to let my anger out by killing people on here" I joke, sitting down next to her and taking the controller. "Connor is stunning, you haven't heard his voice yet but hot damn, it could melt chocolate." I restart the memory of Haytham at the fort with Ziio as Marissa grabs the bag of chips next to her

"It's kinda dumb in my opinion...it's just a video game." She stuffs a handful of chips into her mouth. "Befides, I hink I cuh do oh muh be'er ih it wuh me." I roll my eyes with a smile as I ran Haytham into the fort's main tent to obtain the papers. As much as I love AC3, this is probably the fourth time I've replayed it so I think it's time to shut down the gaming system.

"Well miss 'I'm-better-than-the-professionals', I'd like to see you try and take a soldier out with a sword!" I stand up and grab her outstretched hand, pulling her up to a standing position. Violet sticks her tongue out at me and jumps onto the fold out bed, bringing the covers up to her chest.

"We-ell, since there's none around at this moment, I guess my 'demonstration' won't be happening!" She sprawls out, taking up my side of the bed and starts looking through her phone, rolling her eyes as she reads a text message. "Mom wants me to head home by two-thirty tomorrow. Seriously? I've hardly ever hung out with you outside of school since 6th grade and she still does this. Ugh Jewel, he-elp" Violet curls back up on her side of the bed and buries her head into the pillow.

I got into bed next to her and cross my arms under my head "We're starting college next month, so I think your mom will chill out when that happens." I reach up and turn the lamp off, filling the room with darkness. I roll up onto my side facing my friend and rub her arm, hoping to offer some sort of comfort "Sweet dreams Vie, soon our sleepovers will be neverending!"

Violet gives a short laugh and I feel her roll onto her back, "Oh god, I'll probably kill you in a month!"

---------------------------------------------

I open my eyes to face the darkness that engulfs me. No sound, no breeze, no light...nothing. I try to move my legs but it is as if I'm frozen in place.

A flash of light blinds me and forces me to cover my eyes, crying out. Once the light dies away, I look up to the face of a....goddess? No, no, I recognize her: it's Juno but she can't be real, it's all just a dream, I know it is. She stares at me for what seems like forever before her voice interrupts the silence.

"Save him."

"Who?" I whisper, stunned by her beauty and power, "who are you talking about?"

Juno waves her arm out to her left to present a scenario: a hooded man is fighting on the deck of a ship and is clearly outnumbered. He turns his back for a moment - only a moment - and a rifle is stabbed into the middle of his back. I can see all of this so clearly, but the people are whited out to the point I can't see their faces.

Juno points at me, making the man fade into nothing as a cold shock surges through my body. "He changes the world, but is nothing without you. You're his only hope and the only reason you are alive today."

"Who are you talking about Juno!" I cry, stepping away from her to try and ease the freezing pain in my chest. "Who am I supposed to save!?"

Without another word, Juno lifts her head towards the nonexistent sky and, with a blinding flash like before, disappears.

"He is waiting...."

-------------------------

I wake up sharply to the shrill call of a rooster right next to my ear the next morning. Groaning, I roll onto my left side and push Violet's arm.

"Vie...turn off your fucking alarm. It's too damn early." I cover my eyes to block out the sun coming through the window as I shift onto my back. Ugh, beds get so damn uncomfortable when you have to get up.

I hear Violet shift next to me with a weak groan, "I thought it was your alarm."

I shake my head and start reaching out towards the floor to find my phone but touch something that does not feel like wood. I open my eyes slowly and look at my right hand: dirt, grass, rocks, and a rooster inspecting my class ring.

Okay, I'm still dreaming. I close my eyes again and turn onto my right side, curling my legs up close.

"Ow! What the fuck!?" I sit up quickly and bring my ring finger up to my mouth, nursing the bleeding knuckle. The rooster starts to reach up towards my ring again but I'm able to send it running with a swing of my hand. I glare at the damned bird as it runs into a coop and before suddenly realizing I am so not dreaming.
