It was over, just as quick as it had started - the Tea Party ceased. People ran back into the warmth and safety of bars, inns, and homes as the redcoats ushered people away from the ships and carried the dead into a growing pile. The Sons of Liberty and Connor disappeared with the crowd soon after the last crate of tea was destroyed and while Violet was getting ready to head back to the inn, I stood there - my body frozen and my eyes wide.
And Haytham Kenway was staring right back at me.
He didn't notice me until he turned his back away from the remains of Johnson's goods and while his men walked away back the the inn themselves, he slowed his pace until he got a good look at me and then stopped walking. The fire I saw burning in his eyes chilled me and I knew he finally understood Violet and I didn't happen to be there by chance.
"Julia, c'mon. I'm freezing my ass off." Violet nudged me and nodded her head towards the near empty street. "I'd like to get back to our room without dying."
I brushed my hair out of my eyes and began walking with Violet, turning back only once towards Kenway's spot only to find he was no longer there. The pit in my stomach deepened as I laced my arm through Violet's.
"Vie" I breathed, "Kenway saw us at the harbor, I think we need to get out of Boston...as soon as possible." I quickened our pace through the streets hoping to see a flash of white or something on our way back.
Violet scoffed and shrugged "where the hell are we going to go? We have no money, no transportation, and no fucking clue what revolution-era America was like or where the closest town is! We are the worst kind of fucked!"
I turned my head towards Vie, clearly seeing her face under the new moon's light. I turned to face the street again and prayed things would go smoothly.
"We have to find Connor. He can take us to the Homestead."
I could feel Violet tense under me. "How do you suppose we find him? Boston is huge and it would take us days - weeks - to comb through each fucking part. We may not even have that long if Kenway decides to be out for blood!"
Violet came to a halt in front of the inn's door. She peeked into the window before turning towards me. "Can you remember what Connor does next in Boston? Anything at all?"
I shrugged my shoulders helplessly "I-I think he recruits a guy named Duncan something; It started with an L I think. But I have no idea where." I opened the front door and stepped into the warmth of the main room, taking my cloak off and hanging it on a hook next to the bar, Violet doing the same. "We'll figure out something tomorrow morning.
"God, I fucking hope so."

Working the next morning was absolute hell. I barely slept last night from the events that occurred and now my mind was stressing about Kenway and Connor. Things had to be done so carefully to avoid any slip ups and risking mine and Violet's lives.
"Yah, me cousin and his neighbor got into a fight o'er his pigs roamin' around the other's yard." A kind Irish regular was sitting on a barstool in front of me talking to an Englishman whom I assumed planned to drink with him here. Both were good tippers and were some of the kindest customers we got, but God forbid I remember their names; this is only the second time the Irishman sat at the bar.
"Me cousin wanted to fight 'im to settle the matter, but oh the man was havin' no part o' that. He called on Duncan Little to fix it. That Little man made me cousin put 'is pigs in a fence! He was mad for a bit, but he'll get over it, the stubborn ass."
I stopped wiping down glasses and stared at the man, "Sir, you said Duncan Little correct?"
He nodded, taking a swig of his beer "Aye, that I did lass. He's better than any judge and half as rich. All about the people, just as it should be."
