Arrian felt delighted when she saw the horses and other animals in the ranch. It was her first time to see a real horse. Halos lahat ng mga hayop sa rancho ay first time niyang makitang buhay. Well, she consumes meat, but she hadn't really had a close encounter yet with live chickens, cows, and the likes yet. Wala niyon sa siyudad.
Dinala siya ni Brian sa loob ng malaking bahay. Kuwadra pala ng kabayo ang laman niyon.
Sinalubong sila ng isang katiwala. "Magandang umaga po, Señorito Brian, Ma'am," the middle aged man politely greeted the two of them.
"Magandang umaga naman sa'yo, Billy. Nasa kondisyon ba si Hugo?"
"Opo, Señorito."
"Good! Pakihanda si Hugo, Billy. We're going to use him today. Arrian here would like to see the best that we can offer."
"Walang problema, Señorito Brian." Kaagad na tumalima ang inutusan.
And she found out that Hugo was a horse, a magnificent stallion.
Inayos ni Billy ang kabayo. And it didn't take him long to pull the magnificent black stallion in front of them.
"Wow!" she exclaimed. The horse was beautiful with jet black hair that shines in the light. "Are we going to ride this horse?" Tiningala niya ang kabayo.
"Yep," he confirmed.
"But I don't know how to ride on a horse, Brian..."
"You won't ride alone, Arrian. You'll be with me."
"Oh!" Nawalan na naman siya nang sasabihin. "Hindi ba ako mahuhulog diyan?" Maya-maya ay tanong niya.
"Of course not!" kaagad na sagot nito. "You'll be with me. Hinding-hindi ka mahuhulog."
"Basta sure kang hindi ako mahuhulog, sige, I'll try."
He flashed her his pearly whites. At sapat na iyon upang pawiin ang takot na kanyang nararamdaman. "Trust me, Arrian..." he said in assurance.
Well, she trusted this man.
"Come..." Inilahad nito ang kamay sa kanya.
Tinanggap niya iyon. Their hands clasped, and she could feel his warmth and strength. She had never held hands with anyone yet. Kay Brian pa lamang. And it felt good.
Inalalayan siya nitong makasampa sa saddle ng kabayo. She was a bit scared. She hadn't done this before. Nang bigla na lamang ay gumalaw ang kabayo. She shrieked in terror. But Brian mounted on the horse, at her back, and snaked his hands around her waist.
"Hey, just relax..." he whispered gently.
His warm breathing blew in her nape to her ear. It gave her an exhilirating sensations. Nagtayuan ang kanyang pinong balahibo sa katawan.
"Brian..." she mumbled, conscious of how his chest rubs at her back, how his hands grind at her waist. Hindi siya mapalagay.
"Hold tight, Arrian..." Hinila nito ang renda ng kabayo.
The horse leapt forward and she squealed. "Brian, ano ba! Mahuhulog tayo!" sigaw niya habang nakapikit ang mga mata.
"Relax lang, Arrian. And enjoy the moment..."
Ang banayad nitong boses ay tila nakakahalina. Kahit na takot na takot siya ay pinilit niya ang sariling mag-relax. Maya-maya pa ay nasanay na siyang sumasakay sa kabayong tumatakbo.
She opened her eyes. Nakita niya ang paligid. Nasa kakahuyan na sila at may sinusunod na trail ang kabayo.
And she found out that it was fun riding on a horse actually. And with Brian's powerful arms around her waist, she knew that she was safe after all.
