Kage Ni Kakureru Shizutâzu

Chapter 2

They were a happy family for awhile until the twins grew up to the age of eight. Things changed at that point and it all started on school grounds.

When they arrived at school for the first time, Ochitsuita was wearing a gray cloth on her head and had her tail wrapped around her waist to make it seem like a decoration, while Shizuka easily had her extras out. Shizuka understood why did her twin feel insecure about her ears and tail. Everyone was presenting themselves and when it came to the twins, Shizuka spoke first. "Yo, I'm Shizuka Shirin, and this is my twin sister Ochitsuita Shuryo.", she tried to get her twin to move away from her back, but when she couldn't she sighed. "Sorry, she's a bit shy right now."

The class started to get rowdy as some asked why they have different last name and some other stuff before the teacher quieted them down. That started the rumors about the shy twin and the kids would constantly be pestering the shy twin.

After a month in the school, a wolf brat decided to see why Ochitsuita always had a cloth on her head. That was how the entire school found out she was a 'cat'. They weren't sure if a Neko or a werecat, even though the werecat seemed impossible, but anything could happen. Half the school loved Shizuka and hated Ochitsuita, while the other half did the opposite, but the adults were a different story.

It wasn't until the age of nine, where a group harshly separated the twins to find out about them and wanting answers. They had heard a vampire attacked a pregnant woman and if it wasn't because of them, she wouldn't have made it out alive. They also heard that one of them changed, so they were curious if these twins were the ones that saved the Mother.

Ochitsuita didn't do well with crowds because of her hearing, it being sensitive and all, so at school, everyone tried to be considerable with her and speak low, but this crowd, not only they were speaking loudly, they were touching her, and she didn't like that. So she cried out for her twin, or anyone in her family to help her, not noticing something else was happening.

Shizuka heard the cries of her sister, but she as well was panicking. She was confused at first, but she felt them touch her and started to cry out for her sister and family as well. She picked up movement in the shadows out of the corner of her eye. They were responding to their cries, but whose exactly? She didn't care, right now she wanted to be safe with her twin and hope this was only a nightmare.

Their family noticed that they were taking a while to get home and decided to go get them themselves and see what was wrong, and good thing they did because they heard the cries for help. Quickly running in that direction, the Mother had tears in her eyes at what she was seeing, but the father and Daku quickly sprung in action, fighting their way through so they could reach the twins.

The Father went to help out Shizuka, while Daku went for the other one. Once the group was beaten up or had run away, they went to help the twins, but Ochitsuita was still shaken up, so at feeling someone touch her, she quickly moved away and went by Shizuka's side, not noticing who was the one to touch her, but she didn't care at the moment. She hugged her sister and cried into her shoulder.

Shizuka could see the shadows, it was still very much active, she had seen her father come in her way, so she didn't jerk away, but she stumbled a bit at feeling someone put their weight on her, which was Ochitsuita. She saw the hurt look on Daku's face as well. Feeling her shoulder get wet, she quickly hugged her sister back, she didn't notice that she was also crying as well.

Then she saw their mother walk towards them and wanted to embrace her as well, but Ochitsuita would scream and cling tighter to her. Daku was hurt and it showed, but the shadows caught his eye and his face turned to amazement and shock. The Father, curious as to what got Daku like that, he too turned to the direction where his son was looking at and his face was similar to Daku as well.

At the age of ten, they had discovered that the shadows responded to Ochitsuita, and Shizuka feeling jealous of her twin, she ran into the forest to be alone for a while. What she didn't account for though, was to almost die by accidentally tripping and tumbling off the edge of a cliff that was by a waterfall. She had discovered her wings then as she fell to her doom. Luckily, her wings had helped slow her fall so she wasn't as wounded as she could've been.

The parents look into the Mothers files after this incident to try and find an explanation. They soon discover that Shizuka had almost died in the womb, had it not been for an angel giving her its soul, she would've died. She was a part angel now because of it.

Breezy: Before you all start expecting me to stop this at some point, I already have more than 20 chapters by the time you guys read this, though some might take longer than others cause I leave those for Shadow to write her own pov, so I will update once a week to give her time to write.
