Kage Ni Kakureru Shizutâzu

Chapter 5

Shizuka had told Daku what the angel told her making him frown but he nodded nonetheless and quickly sprung into action. Making sure that he was out of the Neko's eyesight, he cut his palm and lets the blood flow into a cup he had grabbed from the kitchen. He did not want to risk anything. When he went back, he saw Shizuka struggling to keep Ochitsuita pinned on the floor because she broke free from her restraints as she could smell blood, fresh blood. He gulped as he didn't know how to approach this situation, he knew how to kill a vampire, not how to feed one without them attacking him but he had to try.

"Ochitsuita, stay still, now," He ordered as he made himself look cold, unnerving but internally was afraid. Said Neko looked at him with glaring eyes and hissing but it worked nonetheless. She temporarily stayed still as a part of her still recognized him and didn't want to anger him. Daku internally smiled as he saw her listening to him but he kept up his act, "Now, I have what you want and I will give it to you IF you do not harm Shizuka nor me, do you agree?" She scowled, but nodded nonetheless, wanting to make the pain stop as it was driving her insane.

It pained Shizuka to see this side of her sister for the first time. She was nearby when she heard the restraints snap and had to quickly stop her, any longer and she wouldn't have made it out alive. A hungry vampire will do anything for blood but she could see it in her eyes that there was pain, lots of it. Daku signaled for Shizuka to back away, to which she did and waited for the Neko to get up.

The Neko got up slowly to make sure that they weren't going to attack her. She slowly made her way to the fleabag and extended her arm so that he would give her the blood, to which he did after he eyed her to make sure she wasn't attempting anything.

Daku and Shizuka watched her as they were nervous and cautious. Ochitsuita slowly drank it as she was starting to feel relief but she also felt like something was changing, normally a vampire would've quickly drunk it but she was tasting blood for the first time so she wanted to savor it. As she drank the blood her eyes, skin, and fangs changed. Her eyes started to turn wine red, on its way to bright crimson red but it didn't turn into that bright color, a mix in between. Her skin had lost some more of the natural tan making it be a pale, light tan. Finally, her fangs had grown some more, making it official that she was part vampire.

Once she stopped drinking the blood because the cup was empty, she felt lightheaded and leaned against the wall. She was breathing slightly heavy. "Th-Thanks..." She said softly as she was starting to be herself again. Her eyes returning to their original color but the skin and fangs stayed the same, meaning it was permanent.

Daku and Shizuka watched as their sister was changing, Daku felt a ping of sadness as she wasn't going to be the same anymore but he would still care for her. Shizuka was just glad that she didn't have to go through this, it seemed painful but she was worried about how would this change things.

They continued their daily lives as normal, well normal considering one is a pure werewolf, one is a hybrid and the other a Neko. Besides the daily chasing after the twins, they still had to do school, much to their dislike. The twins were sixteen, and most boys had experienced their first mating season so their hormones were awake, meaning they were being pestered by hormonal teenage boys.

Daku didn't like it either as some boys were either brave or stupid enough to be at the front door asking for them but even he could smell the hormones on those boys. Now, why were most of the boys chasing them instead of the other girls? Because some already had mates or didn't peak their interests, but the twins looked more exotic and rare so they wanted one or both of them. Even some of the girls were interested in them but not in a sexual way, it was because of their looks.

Shizuka had no problem scaring the boys away but the same couldn't be said for Ochitsuita. Since she was afraid of killing someone by accident, she held herself back and was always beside Shizuka at school and when the siblings went out, she never separated from them.
