A/N: Okay so this is the last of the headcanons I have so until I come up with/receive some more this probably won't be updated unless I decide to stop being lazy and write out an actual chapter based on one of these.

Somehow this ended up being pretty much all of my thoughts but I swear mama-lolo had some input here, but if she did I seem to have lost them somehow?

Also I can't be bothered to go back and fix this so that there isn't any part of our conversation so... come yell at me for being lazy please and thank you.

Okay so Dinah's a kindergarten or 1st/2nd grade teacher right? Well sometimes Lauren will go with her to her classroom in the mornings to help get the room ready for activities that day and like weekly breakfasts or some sappy shit like that lmao. And there's tiny little girl who always canes about five minutes before Lauren leaves, and she always asks Lauren questions about her job at the zoo or about lions, and she's just so damn cute that Lauren is never annoyed. And then the car crash happens, and the girl (I need a name but I'm not good at that lol) notices that Ms. H isn't as happy for a week or so, and she makes the (unintentional) mistake of asking 'why are you so sad, Ms. H?' and Dinah knows she didn't know, and she's trying not to cry as she explains that Lauren was hurt and can't come to the classroom, and the girl is super upset and during art time makes a card for 'Ms. H's Lauren

And then I was thinking that the five find out the girl was a foster kid and lives in a care home and that's how they get into fostering but idk about that part

Im imagining the card. (What if she IS the girl they adopt? Like the one from the headcanon)

The card is a stick person with green eyes ('that's Ms. H's Lauren' she explains to Dinah) and some scribbles that represent lions. And a very poorly written 'feel better so you can be the coolest zookeeper ever' that is spelled wrong in a lot of places but it's clearly written in a child's handwriting and Lauren melts when she sees it and ends up putting it on the fridge.

Okay okay so after that, they find out the girl is a foster kid in a care home, and it's not a shitty one but it's also not the greatest because there's a lot of kids and it's so busy. And they have this massive discussion between the five of them, Dinah and Lauren being the most vocal about why they should do it. Eventually they agree that yes, they will. Dinah and Lauren are the ones that sign the papers, but they're all the girls mamas (various names I'll figure that out later). When it's all finalized, the two surprise the girl (I really need a name if I'm gonna go with this lmao) and she's just so shocked and happy and she looks at them in awe and disbelief and quietly asks 'I get to go with Ms. H and Ms. H's Lauren?' and they just die from how adorable the girl is. Meeting Ally, Camila, and Mani is another story

But wait! They get home, and they have the dogs sitting on the couch (they're super excited to sniff this new, tiny human but they know not to move until someone says they can) and the girl (I'm going with the name Amelia for now just FYI) is hiding shyly behind Lauren and Dinah, and Dinah has her hand resting on her back and is smiling down at Amelia and whispering softly 'it's okay, they're really nice' and Amelia just looks up to the other three and shyly whispers 'hi' and the three have to strain themselves to hear it, and Ally, the least intimidating because she's so short, replies 'hi, sweets. Welcome home' and Amelia looks between them all with tears because she doesn't believe them and she tugs on Lauren's shirt and is like 'this is my home, Ms. H's Lauren?' And as Lauren explains yes it is, the other three are dying because this is the cutest kid ever honestly. And then Normani gives the dogs permission (when they ask Amelia if she wants to meet the dogs) and they excitedly yet gently knock her to the floor and are licking her and sniffing her and she's giggling and smiling and Lauren is laying on the floor with her laughing and making sure that dogs don't hurt her and that is the purest sound they've ever heard (next to Lauren's giggles, and it's decided between DNAC that the other two are the most precious lil beans and need to be protected at all costs)

I'm imagining after a while when she's comfortable, Amelia is napping on the couch or something with Dinah, and she wakes up first and her markers are on the table, and Lauren comes out and they're drawing on Dinah's arm. Then Mani walks out and Amelia screams 'you have Ms. Lauren's lions on your arm' and Mani just looks and is like 'huh, I do. Nice drawing, Lo' all casual because it's nothing new to her. But then Ally and Camila have them too and Amelia is just this curious lil baby wanting to know all about it and why it happens, and then she starts drawing on herself because 'I want my drawing to be on your arms, too, Mamas' and the five just freeze (Dinah had woke up the first time Amelia screamed) and they're just so stunned but the tiny human has gone back to drawing and thinks nothing of it
