A/N: Yep, an actual oneshot for this universe. Based off one of the headcanons from chapter 3.

Just another reminder, Lauren is the youngest of the five in this AU.

Read and enjoy.

Lauren flinched and curled further into her cocoon of blankets as a loud crack of thunder rolled. She hated thunderstorms. Rain was fine, she could handle that. Lightning was slightly scary but it made cool patterns in the sky, especially at night, so she didn't mind it too much. But thunder was a big no.

She knew it was a slightly irrational fear; thunder couldn't hurt her, and it was the lightning she should be more afraid of. But she hated the loud, roaring sounds of thunder, because loud noises of any kind always bothered her sensitive ears (to which she found a slight downside to spending a lot of time with Camila and Dinah, but she'd deal with it for them).

This storm had started early into the morning, around three am, and Lauren had been awake since. She was exhausted, the continued rumbles of thunder weren't helping, and she was alone until the other four came home, yet she didn't even know when that would be.

Lauren whimpered as a seemingly endless string of thunder rolls came, and wrapped the blankets tighter around her body.

"Lauren?"

The green eyed girl poked her head out from the blankets and saw Dinah and Normani standing at the bedroom door, looking at her in concern. She shook her head and mumbled, "I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Normani questioned, unconvinced.

A loud slap of thunder hit, causing Lauren to whimper and hide under the blankets.

"I-I'm fine."

The mattress shifted as the two girls sat on both sides of the bed, and Lauren felt a hand snake under the blankets to rub her back gently.

"It's alright if you're scared," Dinah murmured, keeping up her soothing pattern of circles.

"I'm not scared," Lauren retorted, tossing the blankets aside so she could look at the blonde. "I just hate thunder. It's loud and keeps me up all night."

Normani frowned. "How long have you been up?"

The smaller girl shifted under the intense stare, not used to the amount of concern the others shared for her. "Since like three," she mumbled.

"Do we need to do what we do for Ally when the thunder is too loud?" Dinah questioned, looking over to Normani.

The older girl rested her chin on her hand, thinking. "I don't know, maybe we should try something else," she replied after a moment. "I'll be back in a bit," she said vaguely, getting up from the bed and walking out of the room.

"Do you know where she's going?" Lauren asked, facing the blonde.

Dinah shrugged, shaking her head. "Nope, but she'll come back, so I'm not concerned." She lied down on the bed, slinging an arm around the smaller girl and pulled Lauren into her. "While Mani's doing whatever it is she's doing, why don't you try and sleep?" she suggested. "You look exhausted."

Lauren huffed, turning away from the taller girl. "Thanks, that makes me feel great."

Dinah rolled her eyes amusedly, and rolled the other girl over so she was facing her once again. "You know what I mean, dummy," she replied. She shifted Lauren so the girl was lying with her head on her chest, and held her tightly. "Come on, try and sleep. I'll stay with you."
