Chapter 4 - Good Friends

Carlos POV: I'm sitting in mine and Jay's dorm as Jay is trying to help me figure everything out.

"How about this?" Jay says. "I'll try to spend a lot of time with Evie waiting for Mal to come in with a possible problem and whenever she does I'll send her your way so you can try to help her and be there for her." Jay says.

I nod as I listen to him. "Alright man that could work." I reply.

Jay nods then gets up and leaves as I grab my phone and look through it.

-40 minutes later-

As I'm watching videos on my laptop Mal runs in.

"Carlos I need to talk to you Jay and Evie are busy your the only other friend I have right now." Mal said freaking out though.

"Woah girl what's wrong?" I asked as Mal went and sat on Jay's bed.

"Ben purposed to me!" Mal exclaimed as my eyes widened.

"Wow what did you say?" I asked still shocked.

"I just went "uhhhh" then I was just speechless and I couldn't say anything so I turned around and left it took my half an hour but I got back here." Mal said.

"Wow." Was all I could truly say.

"Look Carlos I kinda need somewhere to sleep cause Evie is gonna be to busy working on dresses to talk to me so can I stay here?" Mal asked.

"Sure." I said.

Mal smiled and got up and walked over and sat beside me and hugged me.

"Thanks." Mal said.

"You're welcome." I said with a smile.

"Oh hey the dragon and the dog boy you two gettin' busy?" We heard Jay say with a laugh.

Mal and I broke the hug and looked at Jay. "No but even if we were Carlos would have gotten farther with me then you ever have with any girl or sorry...then you ever will with a girl." Mal said with a smartass smirk as she went and sat back down on Jay's bed.

"Hey!" Jay said.

Mal laughed. "Don't go into period mode Jay." Mal said smiling.

Jay just rolled his eyes. "Anyways why are you on my bed Mal?" Jay asked.

"Cause I'm staying here tonight." Mal said.

I looked at Jay and he gave me the look like "I got you."

"Okay then I'll just go stay with Evie." Jay said.

"Alright." Mal said in response.

Jay looked at me then walked over and whispered in my ear. "Be there for her tonight talk to her about her problems convince her your better then Ben." Jay simply said.

I nodded and Jay went to the door but before he left he looked at Mal. "I know Carlos won't but I don't know what you do at night Mal but don't make a mess all over my bed if you have to go to the bathroom and do it." Jay said laughing as Mals jaw dropped.

"I don't do that!" Mal yelled at Jay.

"Sure you don't." Jay said with a devilish smirk.

"Screw off lamp boy!" Mal yelled.

"Okay okay okay but if I hear noises tonight coming from here you can have my sheets." Jay said with a smirk before he left.

Mals eyes widened then she looked at me. "Is he always like that?"

"Pretty much yeah." I replied.

"Great." Mal said sarcastically.

"Don't worry about it." I said.

"Okay Carlos." Mal said.

"What do you wanna talk about?" I asked.

"Do you think it's to early for me to marry Ben?" Mal asked me.

"Honestly yes." I replied. "You two haven't even been together for that long." I said.

"True." Mal said nodding. "So I should tell him no." Mal said.

"Exactly." I said.

"Thanks Carlos." Mal said with a smile.

"You're welcome." I said with a smile back.

"So listen um Mal." I said a bit nervous.

"Yeah Carlos?" Mal asked.

"Look I know you dated Harry back on the isle but is there anyone else you had feelings for on the isle?" I asked.

"Honestly yes." Mal said.

"Who?" I asked.

"It doesn't matter I mean he doesn't like me anyways plus I'm happy with Ben." Mal said.

"Come on tell me." I asked.

"Okay fine....you." Mal said as she hid her face.
