Tavol came back feeling unease before entering his bedchambers. It seemed strange that now things were transpiring that could cause major problems for him and his people. Seeing his trusted friend and King to let him know what had happened before word reached his ears of Falencia made his stomach ache and heart race. The worry that Dornell would not understand the joy and fear made him worry for even her own safety and now with the news of demons on the move, "What do i do? I want to keep her safe. She can't-I can't lose her again."

"Tavol, my boy, when have you done anything less for your people, for her? She is safe with you but she will also not be one to sit idilly as you protect her. You know this."

His words followed him back to the room, their decision if taken will lead her to the pathway he wasn't sure she was ready for or even himself. Some of it Dornell had forbidden Tavol to voice stating she wasn't ready to know and to put her in harm's way wasn't what he wanted but he also knew it was the only way with what was to come to have her fulfill her destiny. He just couldn't take it if it were to fail once again. To be broken a second time-

His breath caught as he took in the scene before him, his heart filling with love and ease at the girl sleeping on the armchair, a book forgotten onset chest.

It seemed just as before; books and her corset were lost to the ground, her legs dangled from one arm of the chair as her arms rested over the other to cradle her head.

Seeing her like this, innocent and sweet and always the bookworm, he wanted to scoop her up and place her in the bed as he'd done hundreds of times before. He could only imagine her cries when she woke up with a sore neck and back and never hear the end of it as to why he didn't wake her so she could be in a more comfortable spot. carefully, he took the book that rested face up on her chest and placed it on the table beside her before cradling her gently in his arms.

She let out a small gasp, her head turning towards his chest, still sound asleep now trying to turn into him. She looked so fragile, so young and innocent in his arms that made his sense go into overdrive, his need to protect her from the past more then before. "I won't let anything happen to you ever again." He vowed to her sleeping body before placing her into the bed covering her up.

Stripping down to his light sleeping pants Tavol was about to sleep on the cot he had brought up the night before until he heard her wimpier in her sleep. Her arms tried to grab onto something, a pillow was the closest thing as she tried to grab for it he immediately dove for the bed, moving closer to her over the blankets for her own privacy but he still felt the need to be close to her. She easily curled into him, her breathing slowed as her dream started to change as it seemed with the way her face started to relax. He then didn't realize what he had done. Her subconscious brought her over to him but would she be happy with that when she woke up? She still had so much to learn, so many memories that will never be hers again and to push her into something wasn't what he wanted to do.

He would stay with her only for a little while longer. Until he knew she was calm and comfortable he would slowly inch away and let her sleep while he took the cot.

Her skin was soft under his skin as he traced her shoulder, her cheeks warm from whatever she was dreaming making him wish he was in her dreams. Hoping she was dreaming of them, of their past. Silly hopes and dreams. He shook his head feeling foolish for thinking these things but how could he not?

Before he knew it, he was asleep holding her not wanting to ever let go again.

She woke to the sound of a heartbeat flooding her ears. It was comforting being in the arms of this strong man, a place she felt she belonged. Tavol was so close to her, the closeness she only dared think of in her dreams  or when he wasn't around worrying he wouldn't return the feeling. Just one more minute she wanted to keep her eyes closed before her mind got the best of her. She wanted to enjoy her dream if only for a few more minutes.
