I love you.
Before he could stop her, Tavols' breath caught as he watched the woman he loved stab the demon in the arm, blood that already covered her tunic now created a large stain on her chest as the demon's blood sprayed over her screaming in pain and he pushed her down to the ground screaming in hatred.
The black haired male had tried to hurt her, pretending to be a human somehow knowing she would go to him if he faked injury and now he was hurt. Now was his true chance to attack and show him not to mess with the women he loved. "You messed with the wrong girl you filth." He heard Falencia gasp through gritted teeth as she lifted herself from the throw the demon had dealt her in his rage.
In disbelief he saw her, shaking but still standing, somehow not stabbing herself in the process... the bracelet clicked back into place; he heard its smooth metal forming once more into its hidden seath below her palm. The bracelet. Falencia had used it, knowing that the magic within would protect her and get her time to be free of his arms. "You stupid bitch! The things I will do to you now! You won't have that precious arm soon enough!"
The demon lunged for her hissing as he flared his wings and before he could get close Tavol watchrd as he spilled more blood on the ground and fell before her with a dagger wedged between its collarbone and neck. The demon dropped, a look of surprise and calm as he fell face first in front of her. The dagger was Tavols, his hand and face covered in splatters of blood as he dove the blade home.
Tavol then turned to her, hand on her shoulder looking her over tears in his eyes. "You're okay. Falencia you're okay." She couldn't tell if he was saying it to comfort her or himself as he placed his hands around her cheeks, kissing her and checking her over making sure her wound on her chest wasn't too bad. "I thought...I thought.."
Shaking as she was, she knew Tavols fears and the words he couldn't say trumped hers. "I am okay, Tavol. Because of you. because you taught me how to protect myself even if I let myself fall for the trap to begin with. You saved me from him." Her kisses were tender, claiming his mouth in exhilaration, in thanks.
His hands traced her body, holding her as close as he could praying he would never come that close again. His heart was nearly ripped out of his chest as he watched the demon mark her skin. Skin that was now bleeding onto himself."We should take care of that." His voice was broken, hoarse as if he had screamed at the top of his lungs for the demon to stop.
His hand on her wound, trying to fix the ripped bloodied fabric didn't do anything but burn her skin as she felt every warm tentative brush of his finger around the area. She couldn't tell if it was the feeling of his skin on hers or what had happened to make her heart beat so fast. To make her want to keep kissing him with a dead taken human at her feet. He had saved her; that's what she chalked it up as. And adrenaline. He was right though, The talon had cut deep and her blood was now soaking her midsection. "It's just a scratch," a deep one, "I think I need this patched up at least." She laughed half heartedly, trying to brush off the now upset that ruled her body. She was ill prepared but she almost hurt Tavol in the process. Not only that, but the demon knew where to find her. Akira knew and that scared the shit out of her.
His kiss to her forehead stilled her thoughts and she leaned into the kiss. "Of course Falencia. Can you walk or would you rather ride back? Do you need me behind you?" On the same horse? He meant to say but didn't.
She rolled her eyes at him. As if she didn't just break from the demon's grip by herself...She knew she did something right but he was still just wing protective. She let him have it, part of it but she wouldn't allow him to baby her too much. She did this wrong, she had to fix it or at least make it feel justifiable that he killed it instead of her. "I think I can do just fine. I said it's just a scratch that needs mending. Nothing major." She whistled and Khalie was to her side asking if she was alright. "Nothing a healer can't fix." THe thought of another healer using her magic on her scared her but the pain of the cut alone, of the guilt would be worth the healing.
