Chapter 3: Olly

Olly

"Who are you?" I screamed at the top of my lungs because all of a sudden a pillare was talking to me! Unbelievable!

"Why are you in my house? In my room?"

"I think I'm the one who should be asking! Why are you talking?"

"Oh? Haven't you encounter a pillare that talks? Perhaps, you're not from here?"

"U-Uhm.. I'm from one of the small provinces, h-here.. I don't think I have encountered a talking pillare." Baka maya-maya malaman niyang nagsisinungaling ako. Hindi naman talaga ako makapaniwala na nagsasalita to. Isa ba 'to sa mga naging subject sa experiment ng mga taga Fikovia? Really? Even pillares?

"Well, you just answered your question. So I'm guessing you're from lowlands or should I say Marbross?" Bigla ko naman tinakpan ang kanyang bibig nung sinabi niya yun.

I answered my question? So tama nga ako. Naging isa siya sa mga experimentations ng Fikovia. But how did he know? Hindi ko naman yun sinabi sa kanya?

"What the hell? How did you know what I was thinking? And how did you know I came from the lowlands? And it's Margard, not Marbross! Were you just reading my mind right now?"

"Can't–asdfghk–breathe–?"

"What did you say?" Tinuro nya naman yung leeg nya. As if he has a neck.. I just realized na grabe ang pagtakip ko sa kanya kaya hindi siya nakakasalita at nakakahinga. Kumulas ako at hinayaan siyang magsalita.

"Uhm yes?" Inayos niya naman ang kanyang sarili nang nakawala na siya  sa akin. Bigla naman nagbago ang pagtingin niya sa akin.

Hindi pa ba talaga nakampante ang mga tao dito na pati ang iniisip ng tao gusto nila malaman?

"I think you shouldn't blame the people here who did my 'talking'. We, pillares, were born with it."

So kung ganun, si Bok na alaga ko nababasa din ang isip ko? Kaya naman pala parang nawoworried si Bok kanina sa akin.

"You're doing a great job, no? You made me distracted for you to avoid my questions. Alright, once again, who are you, miss? And why did you took the risk to come here? It's dangerous!" As if he really cares..

"I thought you could read my mind? So it's possible that you've already know the truth."

"We have our limits too, miss. I can only read your mind when you are thinking. I can't read your past if that's what you mean."

"Okay call me Joy. If you told anyone about this.. You really are screwed!" I glared at his emotionless face even though I threatened him. He's starting to get on my nerves!

"Call me Olly, and I don't have solicitude for you Joy, for a person who can stab me in my sleep." His face makes me want to crush it!

He's walking towards the door and when he slightly opened it, and look back at me. He still has the guts to say something.

"And don't worry I won't tell anyone your secret. Even that hidden power you have." That made my eyes enlarged and look towards his direction.

He just responded me with a mock smile.

"You–!" Bago ko pa siya maabutan sinara niya na ang pintuan. Kaya nauntog ang ulo ko sa pintuan.

Paano niya yun nakita?! Akala ko ba tulog siya? O di kaya nagtutulog-tulogan lang? Or because they're pillares. They also have the ability to sense power around them because they're also born with it. They don't have a power para masense nya sa paligid na may kapangyarihan din kagaya sa kanya. Pillares only have the ability to fly kasi may mga pakpak sila. Well, that makes sense.
