WWBT Chapter Nineteen

Doctor said that Yoona's illness had worsened. Her heart could stop to beat every time her heart wanted to stop.

Luhan was really sad and upset to hear that. He was really angry. He was mad at himself who couldn't take care of Yoona, who couldn't protect her, who had been treated her badly. He was angry at God who put Yoona in such of condition. He wished it was him who laid on the bed hopelessly.

Yoona had a coma for 2 days. And when she woke up, she wouldn't talk to Luhan. She wouldn't even look at Luhan. She acted like he wasn't there. He was so sad that Yoona treated him that way, but he was grateful to be beside her and took care of her. At least she didn't kick me out, Luhan always thought.

But 4 days after Yoona waking up, Yoona told him to go away. At first, Luhan didn't believe it because he heard it from his mom-who'd been visiting to the hospital and taking care of Yoona as if she was her daughter. And Luhan wouldn't believe his mother at all. But when he stepped into her room, Yoona yelled at him. Luhan was really shocked that he froze. Yoona even threatened to pull her IV if Luhan wouldn't move away from her sight. It made Luhan's heart broke to pieces.

'Does she hate me that much?' Luhan thought.

So, the entire time Luhan spent it by sitting in front of Yoona's room and held back his tears.

What made him survive on the uncomfortable sit was the good news that the doctor bought. Yoona was now on the top 10 list for heart recipients. She could get a new healthy heart soon. And that brightened Luhan's mood.

His mom and Yoona's dad cheered him up most of the time too. Saying that maybe Yoona just too shock and angry about all that happened to her that she wouldn't want to meet him.

Luhan was dying to meet her. He really wanted to see her and talk to her so badly. But he couldn't. Even when he just opened the door, Yoona already yelled aloud.

Luhan sighed as he leaned his back on the chair. He closed his eyes and let his thought drifted him away.

"Are you really that desperate?" Luhan's mom suddenly appeared. She offered a Coke which Luhan took it halfheartedly. "You're really that desperate, aren't you?" Luhan didn't say a thing. "You want to meet her?" Okay, this caught Luhan's attention. He turned his head almost immediately and choked on his Coke. Luhan's mom chuckled. "You really love her, huh?"

"How? Tell me how!" Luhan demanded between his coughs.

"I'll try to convince her," she assured as she put her hand onto Luhan's, "You just need to wait. She's just upset. So, don't think too much about it."

"Easy for you to say," Luhan muttered.

Luhan's mother seemed to heart what he muttered. She only laughed and tapped her son's head as she went inside the room.

Luhan was really envious about it. Could walk in and out Yoona's room without getting yelled. Geez, Luhan just knew how precious it was.

Luhan wasn't sure how long he had fallen asleep, but then a soft slap woke him up. "Ya, ya, Hyung, wake up."

Luhan blinked his eyes several times before he raised his gaze to find Chanyeol and Tao stood before him with a wide grin that was contrast with their worried face. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be inside?"

Luhan pouted. "She kicked me out."

"Oh, I've heard about it from your mom," Tao said as he folded his arms against his chest.

Luhan shot them an annoyed look. "Why did you ask then?"

"Just wanted to hear from your version," Chanyeol simply said as he shrugged and slammed himself onto the chair beside Luhan. Tao did the same thing. "So, how's thing going?"
