For Luhan, living with his mom is like hell.
Well, there are times when his mom's jokes are useful but there are times when it's not funny. Like when he was upset because his bad score in his most favorite subject, math. A normal mom would scold her son or ground him, right? But Luhan's mom didn't. In fact, she laughed and made jokes about it. And when he lost at a soccer competition between his class and his enemy's class, instead of cheer him up or cherish his head, she, once again, laughed at it.
But beside all of that, he couldn't deny that he loved his mom. And he wouldn't admit it, of course. Never.
He didn't know what Yoona liked about his mom but they got along really well. It's not that it never happened; in fact, he noticed that his friends, whether he was in elementary or high school, prefer to hang out with his mom rather than with him.
"Oppa, Luhan-oppa, come on," Yoona whispered right next to his ear, making him jerked a bit.
"What did you say?" Luhan asked back as he tried to calm his heart down.
Yoona frowned but she didn't ask a thing. "You must be bored because I spent my time most on your mom so I want to go for a walk with you."
Luhan was really touched. He didn't know that Yoona paid attention on his boredom. "Okay then!" Luhan hopped off from his sit and stretched his body as he yawned. "Where do you want to go?"
Yoona seemed to think really hard that her wrinkles started to occur on her forehead. "I don't know," she said finally after a few seconds thinking. "I'm new here; don't you have to be the one who decide where to go?"
"Ah, that's true," Luhan agreed as he nodded in understatement. "So, why don't we go for a walk?"
"To where?" Yoona asked back as she tilted her head a little; making her looked cuter.
"Nowhere, I guess. Come on!" Luhan grabbed Yoona by the wrist as he led her out of his house.
They walked around the block, greeted a couple of people before Yoona stopped at a place that caught her attention. It was a dance studio.
"Why?" Luhan asked when he noticed that Yoona had stopped. He followed Yoona's gaze and found a flyer which saying that the dance studio needed a part-time ballet teacher. "Are you interested?" he asked, somehow feeling uneasy.
Yoona smiled. She nodded in eager. "Of course," she answered cheerfully. "Let's go in, Oppa!"
But when Yoona was about to step inside the building, Luhan pulled Yoona back. "But, Yoon," he said as he let out a heavy sigh, "you can't dance! Your illness won't allow you to dance. If you kept resisting, you'll..."
Luhan ended what he wanted to say. You'll kill yourself.
It looked like Yoona knew what he wanted to say. Because the next second, Yoona took Luhan's hands and grabbed them firmly. "Oppa, I know I'm going to die. Sooner or later. It's just the matter of time," Yoona said with a sad smile on her face. "But at least, I want to die with an achievement. I don't want to be remembered as the one who burdened all of you." Luhan opened his mouth to interfere but Yoona gestured him to stop. "I know you want to say that I am not. But that's true. That's the fact. I'm a burden. With or without my illness." Yoona gave Luhan a smile. "I won't push myself, Oppa. I promise. I'll stop when I feel it's too hard for me to handle."
Luhan stared at Yoona at the eye. Passions sparkled in her eyes. Even though Luhan wanted to forbid her, it was just really hard to see Yoona disappointed. So, with a hard feeling, he hugged her and said, "You have to promise what you've promised, Yoon. Or I won't forgive you."
