CHAPTER 10: "New Start?"

MINGYU P.O.V.

"And that's what's happened" I told the officer, who was interviewing me. He looked at me suspiciously.

"Why are you telling us this?" He questioned, making me get into my feels.

"Because, I don't want to live anymore. Without Chaemi, I have nothing to live for." I said as I looked down.

"Son, we ain't gonna hang you! You're just gonna be in jail for many years!" The officer said making my eyes widen. Okay. Well I May have just ruined my life. But...I'm okay with it.

"It's okay. I deserve to rot in jail" I said, no emotion.

"Well, I don't believe you." The officer replied. Why can't someone just believe me?

"What? Why?" I exclaimed.

"Look, I know it's heartbreaking knowing that your loved ones died-"

"Loved one" I corrected.

"Loved one died, but you shouldn't blame yourself. And the Yina girl, she's not dead, she's just badly injured. Go back home kid." Nothing was taken seriously anymore....I miss Chaemi.

    I was walking in the halls during class, thinking about life. What is life without waking up to sleepy eyed Chaemi to make her breakfast? What is life without seeing how cute it is when she's nervous and plays with her bracelet? What is life without Chaemi's smile? Suddenly I bumped into someone.

"Sorry" I mumbled.

"Mingyu...." I heard Wonwoo mumble, I turned to him. "Chaemi probably wanted me to tell you this.." he mumbled, but I managed to hear, I looked at him eager to hear his answer. "Chaemi loved you" Once he said those words, a smile formed on my face.

"Really?" Isaid with a smile plastered on my face, but I frowned immedaitly remembering reality.

"I miss Chaemi..." Wonwoo said looking down at his feet, tears started rolling down my cheeks.

"Please hyung-"

"But don't worry" Wonwoo assured.

"What do you mean don't worry?" Is said losing my temper quick, which now happens frequently.

"Just, don't worry, at least that's what Minji said" I shook my head.

"How can Minji be okay with all of this?" I exclaimed, Wonwoo shrugged.

"For the time I've known Minji, she seems like she doesn't let anyone know what's happening behind her mask, not even Chaemi. She wants to always be strong, but soon that mask break, soon she'll show the real Minji..." Wonwoo replied looking down, at that moment, I realized that I haven't been there for my little sister! Minji knew Chaemi longer and more than I did, Chaemi was her world, her best friend. She needed a shoulder more than any of us did. I immediately ran out of the school to the park where Minji would surely be.

  When I made it the park, I didn't care if I didn't have a jacket to keep me warm, even if it is near the end of fall. I just needed to be there for my sister, I can't believe I forgot about her. I searched the whole park from where I was standing, why she wasn't in sight? I frowned as I looked at my feet, suddenly someone put their hand on my shoulder.

"Oppa...why are you following me?" I heard Minji's voice mumble, I turned to her and gave her a giant hug.

"I'm sorry Minji! I'm sorry I haven't been by your side!!" I exclaimed as tears streamed down my face, Minji pulled away from the hug after some time, and helped me to the bench we were near.
