"Hey, Kayla. So the homework assighnment, what sort of thing should we do?"
"I dunno, science biology?.... I dunno maybe a booklet. It's more difficult but a leaflet and a poster isn't quite enough"
"Ohy, Y-yeh I think so to. We have to be together alot for this though"
I nodded in sarcasm and rather disturbed "Ye-yeh I guess"
"So do you want to come over after school? My parents won't be in. No distractions"
"Right. The thing about that is, that I've got training today afterschool until 6. And you know I leave school earlier"
"C'mon, you could drive to mine later"
"I told you, I have training"
"C'mon, you can miss it one time. For me?"
"I wish I could but I have to fight Phil for today"
"You could fight me, before we get started"
"No that wouldn't be fair"
He smiled "we-well--"
"I'd crush you"
"Oh"... "But please, miss it for today, school work is just as important"
I shook my head "Look I know what you're trying to do"
"What?"
"You have the house to yourself, begging me to come over, offerings. I know that your trying to get me to date you. But I can't afford to lose a friend like you if we broke up, wich I know we would do"
"No we wouldn't, and I'd still be your friend"
"So you're saying you'd stay with me travelling the world and challenging people to fight. At least once a week in A&E getting stiches on my face or something? You're saying that's attractive? ... I'm not like any other girl, I fight. Not only that, but I have a really fragile heart. I've had boyfirends before, Some hearts I broke. Many broke mine and I can't handle any flings. I need a real relationship. Someone to stay with me through all of this"

I shook my head "You're a great friend who would respect my desicion to say no to dating. But be with me everywhere anyway"
"I want to be with you" He said
"I'll be over tomorrow at 3:20. Sharp" I said, then walking away.
