4:00PM

I was in the middle of my training, on the punch bag agressively knocking Phil on the other side

"You okay, sport?"

I stopped and poked my head round the bag "Yeh, I'm fine"

"What happened at school today?"

"Nothing, its just Gavin. He's tried to ask me out"

"look, he's a friend. Don't make it awkward. He's not your type. Stay focused sport"

"Phil, I told him I wasn't interrested in him like that"

"Good"

"What's that supposed to mean? What's wrong with me going out with someone, when you married my mum?"

"I just want you to stay focused, not get distracted by boys"

"What if the guy were to turn out to motivate me?"

"Good luck" he said reluctantly

I threw a punch at his face through disgression and anger, he fought back, thinking it would be good training, I on the other hand was thinking of no such thing, I just had urges to hit him.

"Stop it now, save your energy" he said

"I'm not trying to fucking train. I WANT TO HIT YOU!" I said at the top of my voice. By the end I threw him to the floor by his back, I then lodged my fist into his chest, wounding him greatly.

He lie there, trying to catch a breath, whereas I walked upstairs, pleased with myself. If I could fight a grown man, I could fight most.

I sat on the shower floor again and went down for dinner that consisted of grilled white cod (a low calorie fish) with boiled vegetables.

Mum was sitting on one of the breakfast bar seats, while Phil was now lying in bed.

"Darling, you know that you really hurt him"

"He deserved it, mum. I can be happy with a man"

"But you injured him, ALOT! if you weren't a family member then he would have filed a law suit"

" But we aren't family, mum! Dad was family. You're trying to replace him, Phil acts like a dad, He is never going to be like dad. EVER!"

She had nothing else to say. So after a long silence between the two of us, I changed the subject

"I'm not coming home until 9:00ish tomorrow"

"At night?" She asked surprised "How come?"

"I've got a homework assignment with Gavin, we're doing it at his house"

"Doing what exactly at that time of night, seriously. Be honest"

"I'm not doing it, I'm doing biology" I said and then paused, what I just said didn't sound any better "A science biology project on fractures and sprains. Stuff like that"

"Okay, I believe you, It's just a bit late. Usually you're in bed by then"

"I know, I'm not doing any training tomorrow" I said

mum looked at me in 'suttle' disbelief

"...maybe in the morning"

she nodded 'That's more like her' she thought. I went upstairs to my room, I couldn't help but feel a tad nervous for tomorrow; I've never been round a guys house at night alone before, especially one who's desperate to date me. I mean I know I want a guy by my side however I know Gavin isn't it.
