At school the next day, I arrived late due to this stupid thing with Phil, he's so annoying.

Anyway I arrived in science, next to the same plain boring seat next to my lab partner, Gavin-No surprise.

"Okay class, We're having a new guy in this class starting in a couple of days from now, His name is Daniel Hamilton, and he's joining your set 1"

My eyes brightened, I recognise the name really well, but how? Gavin turned to me to inturrupt my deep thought 'who is this guy?'

"I might know that guy"

"So?" Gavin said gently, but I knew behind that was hurt.

"You're still going to be my lab partner, right?"

I nodded, why would I be Daniel's? "Why?"

He didn't answer, he just grabbed my hand and gave a humble smile. I accepted it after the thoughts I shared with myself yesterday.

The bell rang for lunch, I brought my canteen food upstairs to my form room where I again Joined Gavin, he was with some of his other friends at the time, but got up to join me at another table elsewhere, they gave me glares as he walked up to me. I know they don't quite understand why a 'girl' would want to be a professional boxer all her life and the fact that over a school year I have probably 3/4 longer off.

No one gets me

"hey" he said, placing his tray onto my table

"Hi"

he took a pause, gazing into my eyes deeply, searching my thoughts "What's'up?"

I took a long pause, frozen. Then noticing I was staring into a corner of the room.

"You know you like me, right? Like more than... friends"

"Yes" He says slowly, cunningly

"Well-" before I could finish the sentence, Georgia-a friend of his- came up and placed her large figers on his shoulder, he turned around for a direct view of one whiny face of Georgia Howard

"Why didn't you message me back, Gav?"

"I'm sorry, I was busy doing homework last night"

"Okay, well did you talk to your mum?"

"Do I even need to?"

"Well I was just wondering, after all, it is for the week"

"I'm sure it'll be okay"

"Okay, well we still need to talk tonight"

"Why not now?" He asks stubbournly

"Alone" She says coldly and sharply. Did she intend to direct that at me?

He nodded and turned back to me, my gaze at the plump girl and the back of Gavins head had disappeared, she had gone and his face was opposite mine.

"You were saying?" He said, his dimples appearing, narrowing his eyes in the sexy way they do, Why am I thinking like this?

"...Nothing"
