Just Between Us Girls.

"Thanks for meeting with me Shi." Tierra told her nervously, as Shireece sat down at the table.

"No problem girl. You sounded like you really needed to vent. What's the problem?" she asked.

Before Tierra could respond the waiter appeared.

"Good afternoon ladies, I'm Jason and I'll be your server today. Would you like to start with a drink, or do you know what you'd like to order?" the young man inquired.

"Jason, please bring a bottle of your finest white wine, thank you." Tierra told him.

"Ti, you okay girl? You're starting to scare me now," Shireece asked as soon as the waiter had walked away.

"You!... I mean, this man has my nerves about to pop. Do you know what he did to me?"

AS Shireece opened her mouth to answer, Tierra continued.

"Well first, just listen to this..." she rambled on in half sentences.

"He called me suddenly, like out of the blue, which is no problem, right. There's nothing really strange about that. Then, we go out... No wait, he actually showed up with lunch, at my place. My fault, I forgot all about our lunch date.

"Anyway, he brings me lunch because I missed our date. When he gets there I'm in the tub." She senses how that came out and quickly adjusts the scene.

"Okay, wait. So, I change clothes... No wait, back up again. He's hogging up the food and when I go to reach for it, guess what... his hand accidentally slips into my robe. Now mind you girl, I'm naked underneath, so I'm like, "Hello!"

Shireece cut her off.

"What?... Hold up now. So, we are talking about Qu right?"

Tierra nodded.

"Are you telling me Qu tried to cop a feel?" she asked shocked.

"No girl, well, I don't think so. It was an accident. Not on purpose, but still," Tierra told her.

"Anyway, we get to talking and I'm trying to get the 411 about what's been going on with him. Before you know it, he tells me all of this stuff about this girl named Beautiful."

"Beautiful?... Who's that?" she asked.

"His fiancée... well not anymore, she's dead," she let her know.

"What?!" Shireece exclaimed stunned.

"Yeah, that's what I said... Okay, so the woman is dead now, and he says that he's here because she told him on her deathbed to come and see me. I mean... What kind of shit is that?" she asked, as she looked up at Jason, like he had three heads.

"Here's your order Ma'am," he said and attempted to sit the bottles in the silver container of ice.

"Hmmm, I think you got that all wrong. I clearly told you that I wanted a bottle of your best wine, not this $10 stuff you brought back. I could have bought this myself from the corner store. Now, could you please go and bring me back what I asked for.

"As a matter of fact, forget it, just inform Jean Marc that Ms. Tierra is here. He knows what I like, okay. Thank you," she instructed him.

She unclasped her hair from its clip, and tilted her head back to shake her curls loose. As the layers fell down her back, she took a big sip of the glass of lemon water on the table.

"Ti, girl what's wrong with you?" Shireece asked, noticing that she was clearly not herself.

"I don't know what's wrong. It's like whoa, déjà-vu!
