Kabir
After an exhausting long night, I kissed Lissa goodnight and crashed in my bed. Jess didn't come to the room but I was too tired from the sex to bother. Lissa was my girlfriend's friend from college. Ex girlfriend. We had a lot of sexual tension to release, and we finally did.
I was almost asleep when I heard some heated loud noises coming from the girls' room. Putting on a shirt, I walked to their room in the middle of Luna screaming at Hayley, for being naked in bed with Jesse, who was obviously helping that poor guy get laid.
Hayley and Jess were sitting up on her mattress with the blanket covering their bodies, arguing with the other two.
With the motive of lightening the mood I had just walked into, I coughed and joked, "Congrats Jess! And with Hayles, not bad." I leaned forward and patted him on the back.
Jess casually replied, "Thanks buddy."
All three girls just stared at us like we did the most atrocious thing in the whole world. "What are you looking at me for? I didn't bang Hayles." I said.
"That would be me," Jess raised his hand.
"Oh my god, stop it you guys. It's not a big deal, okay?" Hayley said, making tall gestures with her hands.
Luna, in an unlikely move, said, "It is a big deal. He's our roommate. Whose virginity you just took, by the way."
"I know that very well. How is this any different from you acting so loved up with Elaine all night?" Hayley almost yelled.
"No, we weren't-" Elaine was cut by Luna raising her voice, "I didn't fuck her the moment I met her, Hayley."
"What's the real problem here?" Elaine asked in a small voice, gripping Luna's hand tightly.
"She always screws up all our friendships by sleeping with any man she can set her eyes on. Ugh," Luna stomped her foot, sounding beyond frustrated.
"I promise nothing's going to change. Seriously," Jesse said with utmost sincerity.
The argument went back and forth for a while and then I decided to intervene. "Okay guys, this is silly. They're consenting adults and can do whatever they want. As long as Hayley doesn't break my boy's heart, I'm cool with this. Let's just sleep on it and figure it out tomorrow."
I grabbed Jesse's arm and dragged him out of the room, stark naked before anybody could argue about it. He scrambled for his clothes that were strewn upon the floor and quickly covered himself as much as he could.
Once we were out of the girls' earshot, I asked, "So, how was it?"
I think I was gleaming more than him, his experience definitely clouded by the drama that just went down.
Jesse found a t-shirt and some boxers to wear and ignored my question. He tried to shrug it off because of how sour the argument had made his first experience but I didn't budge, "Come on, they'll get over it. They keep saying how they've been through so much shit together all these years. What happened?"
Jess finally cracked a smile and ran a hand through his hair nervously, "I don't really have anything to compare it to. It was pretty good. Hell, it was mind blowing. I don't know why I haven't been doing this all my life."
I laughed rather loud and gave him a friendly shoulder punch, "That's awesome. She did look sexy in that dress."
"Yeah, but uhm, she's really pretty. I didn't even know what I was doing. It was like my body was on auto-pilot and the noises she made drove me insane. But I really don't think she'll ever want to do this again," Jesse said.
"Well, do you want to? Is this just about the sex or do you want something more?"
He paused before thinking about it and answered, "I guess I was speaking on behalf of my dick and not my brain earlier," Jess chuckled. "I really don't know what I want yet or if I even want anything. I guess we'll figure it out when we run into each other tomorrow morning. It's not like I can avoid her."
"Yeah, that's true. Let's just sleep on it," I said as I occupied my corner of our shared bed. It wasn't awkward to be sleeping with a guy next to me but I sure did need some more adjusting to this situation. As soon as my mind stopped whirring, my body was ready to crash and I was fast asleep.
Elaine
Let's just sleep and figure it out tomorrow
Kabir had taken charge and tried to diffuse the situation but neither Luna or Hayley were backing down. With the boys out of the room, neither of them felt any restraints to hold their argument back and continued to quote some instances from their shared lives that I didn't understand. Hayley had dated some guy that Luna had a crush on, back in high school. That's the only part I could pick up as Hayley started to cry on front of me. I could see that she'd been hurt by Luna's words that she had stolen someone from her. It sounded too immature but I understood the insecure place it came from.
I brought Hayley some pyjamas from her closet and got her dressed admist her frustration and tears. She thanked me as I wrapped my arms around her and said as calmly as I could, "Luna, you're not this person. Can you cut her some slack? We'll all be okay. Everyone already gets along and there's no reason that this would affect our living situation." Before either of them could interrupt me, I continued, "I know you guys have been through some rough patches but this doesn't have to be one until you make it so."
Hayley's face drew up in a small smile as she said, "Lunes, your girlfriend is right." She quietly whispered in my ear as a tense looking Luna started to relax, "I love you, Lainey. Thanks for saving me from her wrath."
Luna finally seemed to calm down and even ignored the girlfriend comment, "Okay. Maybe it's not that big a deal. Just promise me you won't do it again? Please."
Hayley came to the middle ground too, "I won't. As long as you give me a kiss and make up."
Luna sighed, "Fine, what am I ever to do with you?" She leaned down to kiss Hayley on her temple and they finally embraced their differences away.
We all got into our respective mattresses and apartment 3B was finally at peace. Or atleast till next morning.
Author's Note
Sorry for the short chapter, I've had crazy amounts of responsibilities, uni exams and other stuff. Also, a bit of a writer's block. I wanted to develop the overall story in my head more before I went on further and have an end goal. Now that I've a clear picture, I'll try to update every week after my exams end in a few days. Hopefully I'll come up with a routine and stick to it. Thanks to everyone who's reading it, even if it's just one of you :) <3
