Chapter Five: Shatter and Broken: Elizabeth
As Elizabeth hugged Nicolas she felt so ashamed that she lied to him. She knew she should have told him the truth but it hurt even for her to think about it. It wasn't that she was afraid of death no she was afraid of leaving him alone in this cold world that's why she had promised to search for the right girl for Nicolas until her last breath. And know that she heard from Nicolas parents that there may actually be a girl for him she felt happy but at the same time sad that she couldn't at least give him something to remember her by.
"I need time to think but remember I will always love you no matter what," Nicolas said cupping her cheek with his hand and gently made her look at him.
She had expected to see pity, sadness, disgusted, betrayal but instead, she saw caring, understanding, compassion and the most important thing she saw was love. So much love that she couldn't break away from his eyes but also didn't want to. She understood that she had been foolish not to tell him first because she now knew that he will always catch her no matter what. She smiled and nodded then he leaned down and kissed her gently in the lips and she felt as the world had stopped once again she knew that if she died right now she would die happy. It would be wonderful to die in the arms of the one you loved. But no matter how much she would rather die now so she wouldn't cause him more pain she needed to find that Skylar girl and see her. She hoped that Skylar was the right girl or else she would need to look for a girl that will make Nicolas happy as soon as possible. Nicolas gently broke the kiss and left the room leaving her.
