Chapter Twenty Two: Jail: Jonathan
As the guards were escorting Jonathan to his cell, Jonathan tried to recall all the events of yesterday. He tried to recall if there was anything he missed or if there was a person following him but he couldn't find anything except the fact that Katherine was the only one who knew where he was heading. Suddenly his mind stop working and he realized that it must have been Katherine who put the trap just so Jonathan wouldn't say anything about their secret. The guard broke Jonathan out of his trance as he pushed him into a dungeon cell. Jonathan notice there was no windows, furniture, bathroom or any way of communication. The floor was filthy, greasy and blood stains on the wall along with chains.
"You deserve worse cell then this one," the guard told him spitting towards him.
Jonathan bowed his head in shame. It wasn't because of what the guard told him. Jonathan felt ashamed of the way Carrie trusted him and Jonathan broke that trust. He didn't know what happened he just remembered waking up in sear pain from the punch Onyx had thrown his way, then the repulsed look on Carrie's face. Carrie had bruises all over her body and her nightdress in pieces. Maybe he was a lower human being and didn't deserve Carrie. He got up and started punching the nearest wall near him letting all his anger out, letting the foul words come out his mouth.
"Punching that wall won't do anything," a voice told him making him turn around and said
"Who are you? I thought I was going to be alone"
"I am no one and everyone at the same time" The voice reply and let out a chuckle as Jonathan walk toward the voice just to find in the corner was a skinny, lean, tall, brown hair, honey eyes, man. Jonathan saw that the man was in royal clothes and had this malice glint in his eyes. The man was inspecting him then said
"Is about time they gave me company"
Jonathan didn't know what to do but said
"What are you in here for?"
"For speaking my thoughts against you," the guy said
"What you mean?" Jonathan asked but the guy just chuckled and closed his eyes muttering a song. Jonathan wanted to force the guy to talk but chose to let him be.
"When the wind blows, it comes and destroys everything in its path. shadows lurk and wait to patch their prey. With no light to have, no one to defend them, all hope vanished and conquer. Why do you fight when everything is gone?" The man was singing a bit louder now
'Blood is shade and spoils every corner of the earth, Soon the allies will be the worst enemies. With no one to trust, just run until your feet give you away. The truth will never be revealed no matter how hard you fight ......" the man continue singing making him wonder why the guards haven't come to shut him up. There was something in the song that made Jonathan feel connected as if he heard before the melody.
