Azryth, Magus, and Magi flew into a dark room. They perched at a circular table. Azryth sat down on a chair. Magi was pushed on to the table.
"Do you know why you are here, Magi?" A mysterious voice asked.
"I failed a mission," Magi said bitterly while turning his head down in shame
"You were supposed to trick fletchlings!" Another phoenix yelled.
"All I did was capture them and then the next thing I knew I was being interrogated. They tickled me!" Magi yelled back.
"You will be executed tomorrow, and Magus shall take your seat on the dark council," the first phoenix said while lighting the room with a flowing white light.
"What is the status on the mission?" The other phoenix asked.
"We have something in motion," Azryth replied.
"Azryth remember, you're not off the hook, commander chimera was a valuable member of our team. One more mistake and you will have the same fate as Magi," one of the phoenixes reminded Azryth.
"Yes sir, I shall not fail you again," Azryth said while bowing her head. Magus and Azryth swiftly left the room.
"Now, how goes the war front?" Asked the first voice.
A new voice spoke up, "Azryth's forces are giving ground to The Tyrant. So far they both remain clueless to who holds the real power on this continent.
"Good, now prepare for departure."
In less than a minute there was emptiness where council had met.
"Guys let's rest, that blast took a lot out of me," Blade said.
"Me too," Crystal said. She quickly used the last of her energy to make a plateau. Vine managed to make little nests for them to sleep in. They never even saw the newly promoted Commander Crusher lurking in the ocean. when the eight phoenixes woke up they were on a giant piece of land. It was an uninhabited jungle.
"Maybe we floated in the water to the magic isle?" Surge suggested.
"No, someone brought us here," Scorch said thoughtfully.
"I'm gonna check this place out," Manta said while flying off.
"I think I will too," Surge said while flying after Manta.
"While they're gone we should discuss what we're gonna do when we get to the magic isle because we can't really attack we're only 3 lives old," Crystal said.
"She's right," Vine agreed.
"Okay," Scorch said.
"I think we should tell the phoenix council that magic phoenixes still exist," Frost suggested.
"We should," Crystal agreed.
"They would never believe us though, we're too young," Vine pointed out.
"I guess we should fight them, I mean what else would combat class be for?" Blade said.
"Good point," Scorch said.
"Let's tell Surge and Manta when they come back," Frost said. They waited for about 3 minutes and the two young phoenixes zoomed back to the other 6.
"We found a lot of animals. We had to stop to get some food. We got some beetles, a few worms and we found some berry trees so we plucked some," Manta said.
"That's cool," Crystal said.
"At least there's some food wherever we are," Frost said.
"Come on Scorch aren't you going to tell them the plan," Vine whispered to Scorch's earhole.
