Death Wish

Lelani's POV

I held onto them lil overhead handle things watching as Durk sped and swerved through traffic. 

"Nigga can you fucking chill! You ain't Tyresse from the fast and furious nigga, slow down!" I yelled and he looked over at me and rolled his eyes but slowed down, thankfully. 

"You a pussy," He laughed and i punched his arm. He continued to laugh and i shook my head, tuning him out. I wondered how angry Tavares was right now and what he was doing to Nancy and Yana. I hoped they beat the shit outta him with they broom sticks. I leaned my head against the window while staring at the cars flying by. I jumped as the bluetooth phone started going off in the car, and my nosy ass looked at the screen seeing 'Reese' as the caller ID. Both Durk and i looked over to each other. 

"You in troubleeee," He taunted and brought out his hand to press the answer button but i slapped his hand away. 

"Nigga, don't!" I hissed and he shoved me off him while sucking his teeth and instead pressing the answer button on his steering wheel instead. I groaned, but stayed silent preparing for the worst. 

"Wassup bro," Durk said calmly and on Tavares' end i could hear a whole bunch of wind and arguing all around him, Yana and Nancy's voice being the loudest. 

"You bitch ass bum don't you eva try to touch  my bestie!" I heard her yell from the distance, and i smiled a little knowing Yana always got my back. 

"Nigga fuck you tryna do? Bring shordi back she fucked my car up!" Tavares said with a raised voice. Durk looked unbothered as he continued to drive. 

"Nigga you need to calm yo ass down. Ion need you rockin her shit once i get back and yo ass best b off my pops property nigga." Durk said and Tavares sucked his teeth. 

"Nigga yo pops been in the pound for years this ain't his fuckin house no mo'." Tavares said and i shook my head at how rude he was being. I looked over to Durk to see him getting upset too. Durk's dad had been in prison for as long as i could remember. Nancy was technically his step mom and Yana was his step sister but since they'd been in his life from when they were all kids they all just stuck together. 

"Leave him alone, Tavares." I finally spoke up and listened as the line went quiet for a bit. 

"So you on Durk bitch ass side huh, Lee? You tryna fuck him too i bet," Tavares said and my jaw dropped. Did he really just?..

"Nigga FIRST OF ALL-" I started but he cut me off. 

"Fuck yo FIRST OF ALL bullshit, ion wanna hear nun from yo dick sucking lips Lelani! Either yo ass comin' to see me in person or we ain' talkin at all nigga!" Tavares said and there was a click before the phone call ended. I was speechless, staring out the window shocked. I looked over to Durk who had a look on his face like he was ready to knock Tavares out and i honestly couldn't have agreed any more. I knew i had the same look on my face. 

"Durk-" I said but he interrupted me. 

"I'm finna knock his bitch ass out," He mumbled and i sighed.

A few hours later and i had came back home, after Durk dropped me off and then pulled off saying he had 'business' he needed to do. I didn't even question shit, just nodded and got my ass out. I already knew he was going over to knock Tavares out, and i knew me tagging along would be dumb as fuck cause both them niggas going at it would mean someone like Chop would be the only one to break them up.
