*Previously*
As we walked into the house, my mom came running into the foyer from the kitchen with a bottle of wine in her hand.
"Jasmine! Someone's here to see you!"
Footsteps were heard and I craned my neck to see who it was.
My mouth instantly dropped to the floor as I stared at the person behind my mother.
~
"Hello Jasmine. It's been a while hasn't it?"
"A...Alex. Wh...what are you doing here?'
"Why I've come to see your beautiful face of course. How have you been sweetness?"
I opened and closed my mouth about three times because I couldn't seem to get the freaking words out. Alex always seemed to have that effect on me.
(A/N: BTW if anyone forgot. Alex is Jasmine's ex boyfriend. He took her virginity and all that jazz. Carry on.)
I jumped out of my head when my mother announced, "Okay! We'll leave the two of you to do whatever so Alex can hurry up and go home."
I almost forgot how much my mom dislikes Alex. When I thought about it, it's actually quite funny because every time he'd come over he would compliment my mother in some way, but she'd just roll her eyes at him and walk away. I never knew why she was so salty with him. I started laughing to myself.
Alex gave me a crooked smile. "What's so funny Jasmine? I know you haven't seen me in a while, but no need to laugh at my appearance."
"That wasn't even funny Alex," I said ceasing all laughter.
I gained my composure and looked up at him. "So how do you even know where I live? I think it's a little creepy to fly all the way from St.Paul to New Orleans."
He patted my head and shot me another crooked smile. I wish he'd stop. It's making me loose concentration. "I'm not a stalker, My family is vacationing down here and Amber gave me your address."
"Amber?" My eyes widened. "Why on God's green Earth would she do that?"
"Because I told her you left a sweater at my house and I needed to give it back to you so you won't miss it too much. Amber is really dumb. Why are you even still friends with her?"
He was right about that Amber was dumb sometimes. Maybe I should give Trisha more credit.
"Hold the fuck up. Don't talk about Amber like that. She's my best friend you dick!" I said punch him in the arm. Hard.
He just laughed and threw a crooked fucking smile at me. Again.
"I swear on my favorite push-up bra if you give me another smile like that I'm going to kick you in the balls. I'm not kidding."
"Whoa there Jasmine, New Orleans is making you a feisty firecracker huh? I didn't come here for violence."
"Well why did you come here Alex? Because last time I checked, we are not dating and you have no need to come to my house."
His laugh rang out in the foyer. "That's what I was getting to beautiful. I think we could make this long distance relationship work. I still love you, you know."
To say that I wasn't surprised is an understatement. Every time we got into an argument, he would just blow up and we wouldn't talk for a while. After a few days he would show up at my house or do some grand gesture at school in front of everyone. I knew sooner or later he would be calling me crying uncle but I would have never thought he would show up at my house here.
