I fell asleep in a chair next to his butler. Soon after I felt myself being picked up and pulled into a warm embrace. I was freezing after hours in the dreadful hospital and now all of a sudden, all I could feel was warmth. My eyes slowly opened to a smiling Jackson. He looked pleased to see me in his arms.
"Jackson... you scared me... please don't do that again," I whispered softly. "I'm sorry, Waffles." His voice was cold and the warmth I was feeling started turning ice cold. Reality came before me and here I was watching the lines in the machine go straight. Never in my life had my heart hurt the way it did. Several doctors ran in and started trying to bring him back to life. Two started pulling us out the room.
No, your not taking me away from him!
I pushed one away from me but they kept coming. I started screeching, "NO! I WANT JACKSON. STOP IT!" Finally the same doctor who told us I could see him entered the room and ordered them to leave me alone. I rushed over to his side as everything happened in slower motion than before. I knew that Jackson couldnt be saved but I still hoped for the best. Hoped that he would be okay and I would be able to apologize for leaving him like that. If I had been there Jackson would still be alive.
If I hadnt even met him he'd be alright.
Before I knew it, they had failed and all there was left in the room was me and his butler. I turned to his butler with heavy sobs, "I'm so sorry... this is all my fault." He chuckles bitterly, "Jack loved you. That's all he talked about. If he was awake right now, he wouldn't want you to cry over him." A tear slipped from his eye as he closed them.
No, Jackson won't fade like this. I won't let him.
