CHAPTER 7- NOT A BIG DEAL?

Harry's POV

When everything's going perfect....someone comes and ruins it. Typical. That's been my entire life's story. One moment I have Mary say that we could be a couple in future and all of us having fun and the next moment the crazy bitch comes and ruins it all.

"Its all because of you!", she yells and all of us turn to look at her and so does the entire cafeteria. People's hands are already halfway through their pockets to take videos to upload on Youtube. 

Linda Wilson looks like a crazy person who's escaped a mental hospital after years of staying there. And man, if looks could kill she probably would've killed Mary. She charges straight towards her and tries to punch her. And before any of us can do anything, Mary blocks her punch and raises her eyebrow and says,"Come on, Linda, I thought you could do better than that."

Linda pushes Mary away but Mary hardly moves behind a few inches, but the effort pushes Linda back. The reason is not that Mary's the hero and Linda's the villain but that Linda's wearing heels and Mary's wearing sneakers. As simple as that. 

"Its all because of you. Alec got attracted to you in sophomore year because you helped him with ONE chemistry assignment. He's never paid attention to me the same way after that. And now Marc won't date me because he thinks he'll offend you. He broke it off. Everything", Linda chokes back a sob after ending her terrific speech. Mary's standing stock still, her face as white as chalk.

"M-Marc is dating you ?", she says the last word with so much disgust and contempt its overwhelming.

And then, Marc comes running into the room, he stops between Mary and Linda, his eyes wide, panting so much, he's practically out of breath.

So much for perfect timing.

"Mary...I can explain", Marc says.

"Explain what Marc?", her rage explodes. All her fear, stress and anger at Marc from the past few days pours out," I've been worried sick. I thought I made a mistake. I felt worried if you were fine or not. And here you were hanging out with this hoe."

"Mary don't call her tha-"

"Oh,yeah. I shouldn't call her that. Because anything I do is wrong, you're the same as them.I was stupid to think you were any different. Its okay that she was the one who bullied me in middle school. When she photo shopped my face on those nude photos in junior year or when she insulted me every coming day till date. You know how she is and still you're trying to make me explain."

"Mary", Marc says exasperatedly," It isn't like its a big deal, it keeps on happening in high school and-"

"Not a big deal?", I choke out. I felt it was a pretty big deal. I hadn't even known these things had happened. 

And for the first Marc looked at me with a frosty cold look on his face and said," Stay out of it Harry its a family matter."

I felt as f he'd punched me in the face. Marc had never ever spoken to me like that. We practically told each other everything. And here he was telling me to stay out of stuff.

"Don't talk to him like that.", Alec and Mary say at the same time. Alec holds Mary's hand and he says,"You should have told her Marc."

"Don't get your jealousy in the middle of this,Hemsworth. Let us sort it out."

Alec lets out an angry growl and looks like he'll kill Marc. Then suddenly, Dylan another one of our team mates intervenes and says,"Then maybe you should sort it out outside the cafeteria." He gestures to all the people taking videos. 

"There will be no need of it", Mary says with such a calm voice but its equally dangerous. Her voice is equally dangerous.," I think we're done here. There is nothing left to be discussed."And then she hurries out of the cafeteria.

"Make sure none of this gets out", I whisper to Dylan before running out after her.
