Mary's POV

BEEP!  I look at my phone and see a text from Marc and roll my eyes.He has grown overprotective since the accident.

Marc: Where are you? Why aren't you home yet?

Mary: I'm at Sydney's. Talk to you later.

Marc: When will you be back?

Mary: Shut up and stop being so clingy.

Marc: Hey! I'm just being careful.

Mary: Be home by 10.

Marc: Ok.

I sighed. Most of my conversations with Marc were just like the one above. We didn't talk like we used to. First, I probably because of the fact that he had been pissed off with me for going to Spain. But now I knew it was something else. And I intended to find out. I left Sydney's place with a hurried goodbye to her father and headed home. Generally, I never go back home this early but if I had to find out what Marc was up to I had to be there.

An hour later, I was home. But there was no sign of Marc. I waited for him till almost 2:30 am but then I went to sleep in the couch itself. When I woke up the next morning, my hands and legs were sore from sleeping in the couch which was way to small for me. I looked at my watch, it was only 8:15 am. Drowsily, I ran in the dining room to catch Marc at breakfast but he wasn't there  either.

When I asked everyone where he was, my mom gave me a disdainful look, wrinkled her nose and said,"Well, he's in better company than yours." And then she walked away with my dad. Just like that. Leaving me gaping after her with tons of unanswered questions in my head.

Wait, she knows where he is? And he's out on a Sunday? That was supposed to be my specialty

And now I was angry. Marcus Liam Styles was avoiding me. And I didn't even know why. And one thing that made me livid was not knowing. I was angry. Scratch that. I was downright furious.

"What will you do now?", Ava asked me from across the room. She was picking up the dishes to clean. She was Dakota's sister and my only friend in this hell house other than Marc.

I hadn't realized I had been standing with hands on my waist and frown on my face staring at the spot my mother had emptied.

"Well", I said, my frown deepening,"There's only one person who can tell me Marc's whereabouts and its time I payed him a visit."

"Who?", Ava asks putting all the leftovers on the trolley.

And then thinking about him made my body relax. My frown was no longer there. Instead my smile reappeared at the thought of meeting him again. Laughter danced in my eyes at the thought of making him nervous again, at scaring the shit out of him.

I knew he would help me.

"Harry Miller"

Harry's POV

"Give me a break", she says laughing. Sipping on her chocolate drink. Sunlight flows through the glass considering we are sitting at a booth right next to the one touched to the glass. When it falls on her eyes, her hazel eyes get this light look. Leaving all their pain and stress behind. And those green flecks appear in her hazel eyes, retaining her mysterious aura.

All in all, she's a full package, that girl Mary Styles. She's  fun when she wants to be, she's scary when she wants to be, she's sad when she wants to be and she's happy when she wants to be. Basically, she just does what she wants to do. Something I've been trying to do all my life. Not getting overruled by people.

"Hey, What's the matter?", she asks me her knee grazing across mine giving me tingles. Her wearing ripped jeans does not help. Does not. I manage to shake my head.

"So, lets get to business. What do you want in turn for giving me Marc's location?"

Yeah, his location. That's why she had come to meet me. I'd traced his phone in no time. It had shown a place on the outskirts of the city. I'd given her his new number he'd starting using while she'd been in Spain. And bingo, there he was. She spoke to him and we were done.

"I didn't do it for any reward or whatever. I did it to help a friend."

"Yes, of course  you did. But I pay my debts Harry Miller. Thought you'd understand that."

"I do."

"Well?"

"Well what?"

"Ask for something.Anything"

"Anything?"

She rolls her eyes and nods. She looks so pretty even when she does that. And then a really, really crazy idea strikes me.

" Don't do it" , my mind warns.

"Go ahead", my heart counters.

"Well, I,uh, have thought of something", I stammer.

She raises a well-sculpted eyebrow and says,"What do you want?"

" A date"

She stares at me for full two seconds and then laughs. Laughs like, I don't know what or for what. But she laughs.

"You've got nerve,Miller. Knowing your sister and my brother could kill you for this. Still you've got nerve. And for this courage alone, you will have your date.", she says once she stops laughing.

Shit! I hadn't even thought of Marc and Maddy. I hadn't thought of pretty much anything except Marry Styles.

"Uh, I'll get the date?"

"Yes"

"Why aren't you freaking out? Like if you wanted it you should be super happy and start squealing. And if you're not, then you should like just yell at me for this outrageous act or something of that sort."

She leans forward in her seat and she's so close that our faces are inches apart. I can feel her hot breath, and I bet she can hear how loud my heart is beating.

"I thought you knew me enough to know that I'm not normal.", she whispers and then she pulls away and no time she's out of the cafe leaving me completely bewildered staring at our empty glasses.
