It had been a long day and I was glad to be home, but I knew it wouldn't last. Terrance's words at the meeting still lingered in my mind, our duties were not over, we had to continue our protection of Mary and Dale, they had to be escorted to Rostonin so they could watch Alina marry Alex. Miranda was with Mary and Dale, trying to teach them how to lock their minds. I couldn't handle the thought of trying to teach humans how to do it, it wasn't the easiest of tasks and being human they definitely had their work cut out for them. Evangeline was in her room, as usual, phone in hand. Josie had spoken to her briefly about it, knowing she would have heard the conversation that had occurred downstairs. She knew she was to lock it away and not to tell anything to Alina. Not that it was possible, being that she was in the another realm it meant that there was no communicating with each other.

I looked around her room, wondering where my little girl went. Gone were the stuffed toys and pictures of horses and kittens. The doll's house and rocking horse had been traded for this.... nightmare. Bed unmade, shoes scattered over the floor and there was a funny smell to the room. I sniffed trying to figure out what it was. The pink painted walls were plastered with pictures of rock stars, predominately male rock stars. I raised an eyebrow at some of them, shirtless. Some of them were near on pornographic. A television had replaced where the doll house once sat, clothes were draped over the back of the lounge. The robe was clearly too far away for her to walk the few paces to put her clothes away. I wondered why the maids hadn't been in here to clean this up. Maybe Evie banned them from her room. Her cabinet was covered in pots of makeup, tubs holding pencils of some sort. I frowned, pictures of her and Alina, her and Aston. Pursing my lips as I squinted, suddenly very suspicious of one little witch.

'What's Alex been doing that made Miranda put her in the shifter realm?'

Evie looked up at me, the make up a little too thick around her eyes which made me a little annoyed. I was ready to take the entire contents of that cabinet and toss it into the bin.

'The prick's been cheating on her.'

'Evie!' Josie gasps at her.

'It's the truth.' she shrugs.

'I think your mother was referring to your language.'

'Well he is one, I don't care if he is a prince or if he has a butt load of money, once a cheater, always a cheater. Anyone that cheats on someone they supposedly love is a prick.'

Josie throws her arms up in disgust, there is no getting through to our child and her foul mouth.

'And I'm coming with you.'

'You are not.'

'Try and stop me.'

'It's not safe, we don't want you in harm's way.'

'But you don't know that I would be, anyway, I might just be the one that saves your arses and besides, you expect me to miss out on my best friend getting married, as if.'

'You aren't even eighteen yet Evangeline, you are not a full adult.'

'Yeah, but I've been practicing, Preston and Stella have been teaching me things.'

Josie's head perks up, Evie gets a concerned look on her face, then out of nowhere there is a tiny tap at the window, a little rock had hit it. Josie looked at me with a smirk. As another rock hit the window she raised an eyebrow at me, we both knew something was going on. Josie turned into Evie, I grabbed Evie and covered her mouth, disappearing. She tried to struggle within my grip but couldn't escape me. Josie opened the window and found a familiar figure climbing the wall.

'Hey there Evie.' Aston, Stella and Preston's son whispers as he climbs in.

She grins as she closes the window, leaning on the sill. He was facing away from her as she changed back to her normal form. I was right, one little witch was misbehaving with my daughter.

'Are your oldies back yet?'

'Yeah, they are.'

Aston spins around and sees Josie leaning on the window sill.

'Oh, uh. Your highness.' he bows.

Evie struggles in my grip again, I let go of her and the invisibility, Aston sees us, knowing that they had been caught.

'Care to explain yourselves?' I look at my daughter.

'Fine.' She scoffs as she flicks her hair away. 'So we're a thing.'

'A thing?' Aston frowns.

'Ok.' she shakes her head with a derisive tone. 'What do you want me to tell them? You've been screwing their little girl?'

'Jeez not that.' he gasps as he turns a thousand shades of red.

'Do your parents know you're here?'

I was a little shocked that Josie maintained composure, I felt like ripping the little bastard to pieces. But then I remembered that he is the son of my dearest friends, killing their first born just because he's had his grubby little paws on my daughter would not be a wise idea. It would be fun that's for certain. The notion was lingering in my mind; Josie was obviously reading them. Her face was one of unimpressed.

'No.' he groans.

'Ring them, tell them that you have been caught and that you will be staying here tonight, it isn't safe to be out at the moment.' Josie turns to Evie. 'You with me, now.'

As they pass me, Josie winks at me with a cheeky grin. I wait until the door is shut before I stalk towards Aston. Menacing father in place. No longer was I the friend of the family, I was one annoyed father. He might as well have been naked in her bed, that is how angry I am.

'You can continue with my daughter seeing as she is almost eighteen anyway. But so help me, if you get her pregnant, you will marry her, do you understand me?'

'Uh yeah... of course.' he stutters as he panics slightly.

'And I do not want to hear it, ever.'

I pull the phone from the pocket in his jacket, feeling my eyes darken as I stare down at him.

'Ring your parents, tell them that you are here and will be remaining here until they collect you tomorrow, tell them what you two have been up to and tell them that you are one lucky boy because I have chosen not to rip you a new one. But do not underestimate me Aston, because if you hurt her you will not see the light of day again, you will not see heaven or hell, limbo is where I will put you. Do you understand me?'

'Yes.' he whispers as his body quivers.
