Josie looked up at me with a smile, sweat slicked hair trailed long lines around her beautiful face. A tiny cry emerged from the little baby in my arms. Perfection in one little creature. Today was the nineteenth anniversary of our marriage and on this day our son was born. Gently I placed him onto his mother's chest, watching as he feeds without a fuss. I leaned over and placed one sweet loving kiss on her luscious lips.

'You are amazing.'

'It's child birth Ethan, women go through it every day.'

'I know but I just like to make sure you know what I think.'

'You are sweet.' she grinned at me.

'Are you done yet?' Evie yells from the other side of the door.

'I suppose it's time for the family to meet him.'

As the maid fusses with the last of the tidying the room and readies for the onslaught of my family, I wander over to the door. Evie was the first one through, nearly pushing me over as she entered.

'Oh.' she said dryly as she looked at her mother 'Hang on, she isn't decent yet.'

Evie taps her foot impatiently.

'Come on mum, you can feed him later.'

'Evangeline, I think you might find that your brother would disagree with you.'

My mother pushes through the door with a cloth in her hand. She wanders over and places the cloth over Josie allowing her some privacy.

'There you go darling. Now we can come in and this young man doesn't have is first feed disturbed by his overbearing family.'

'I want to burp him.'

Evie jumps on the end of the bed, waiting impatiently as she always does.

'And if he throws up everywhere, including all over you?' Josie grinned at her.

'It's cool, I'll get my payback when he's chasing girls.'

Cautiously Claude enters the room, followed by Montana who was not so cautious. I now knew where Evie got her bad habits from as I watched Montana push Claude out of the way and made a beeline for the baby.

'Such a snail.' she mocked him with a cheeky tone.

Claude poked his tongue at her and I wondered how old these two were.

'Ok, he's done.'

Evie squealed with delight as Josie passed the baby to her. My mother helped her with the cloth and then helped Evie with the baby.

'He is so cute.'

'Don't get any ideas.' Aston grumbled from behind me.

'Aww.' she pouted 'You are such a stick in the mud.'

My father strolled into the room, looking to my two children. One a baby, the other an adult. I would have preferred to have them closer in age but our life was the way it was for a reason. Josie had to protect our princess, she had to make sure that Alina made it to the throne alive. Now that her duties with Alina were done, she was free to do as she pleased. And this was what pleased Josie, her family. I knew that this was the beginning of a lot more children. She was determined to hold me to my promise of a lot of them. Even though it was a long time ago, the pain of being told she couldn't have children still lingered in her mind. She knew she could, there was evidence in front of her but the bitterness still stung deep. I was expecting her to find every single doctor that had ever told her anything bad and show them how wrong they were. But she couldn't, she looked like she hadn't aged a day even though nearly twenty years had passed. Her features were very youthful, she looked like she was in her early twenties and she knew they would question her. Wondering how she could look so good after all this time.
