Waking up from a strange noise, I quickly got up and opened the front door to see what was happening out there. People were ranning across the road, packing their things and hugging their family. The ooperators walked towards me as they discovered me. "Varus, hurry, get your cloths. Noxus invaded Ionia, all warriors have to go to the battlefield immediately."

"What...?" Lulu appeared behind me, her face was blank and she clinged onto my shirt. "Don't worry, I'll fight with them and we're gonna win it." I stroked her cheek and kissed her forehead, before I got back into the house and packed some things. I know that she was worried, that my parents were worried too, but this was my first challenge to proof that I can be a reliable soldier.

I lifted my hand and waved towards them as I walked away with the operators. They were crying, yet they tried to smile as they said goodbye.

And that goodbye was the last thing that I ever saw from them.

We fought hard, many of my comrades died on the battlefield. I survived with some minor injuries and came back to the village after a long time. My white hair had grown during that time, so that I had to wear it in form of a ponytail.

But the day I came back, a flame of revenge had ignited my heart.

My eyes wide open, dropping my bag, I screamed as the peaceful village I left had turned into a burned down place of ash. The house I had grown up in was now gone, burned and destroyed. My hometown had become a ghosttown. And the worst thing was that I had no clue where Lulu and my parents had gone. If they were still alive, or if they were brutally killed by Noxians. The only thing that was left of my beloved girl was her red hat, lightly burned and buried under the ash. She had sewn a small piece of fabric in heart shape onto the hole I once made. Now it was the last thing that didn't get destroyed, the last left piece of our love.

Since that day, I had sworn that one day I would take revenge, and I'd find my family, no matter what. So I fought wars over wars, killed thousands of people, but my family never came back to me. But I will not give up, because only cowards flee their fate.
