Love Again - Klena

I know it's late

A few days after the break-up with Klaus and kiss from Joel, Elena took a week off, and went to Mystic Falls.

Her friends welcomed her, having prepared a small welcome home party at their favourite hangout.

"Oh, you guys! Thanks!"- Elena gushed, now hugging each and everyone from her squad.

"But, you know guys that I am just here for a break."

"This is your home, no matter where you go."- Matt, her oldest friend said.

"You guys are the best!"- Elena now got teary.

"Hey. No crying."- Tyler said-"get the Bourbon out!"

"So, you would start drinking without me?"- Damon now got in the bar.

"Damon?!"- Elena exclaimed and now went into a hug with the vampire-"Oh, it'so good to see you!"

"Same here!"- Damon said-"so, how are the wolves of Toronto?"

They got out of the hug and Elena replied-
"I am stuck in the hospital. Not seen one."

Bonnie now shot a look at Damon, which told him not to mention supernatural stuff.

Tyler now passed them eaxh a glass of Bourbon and before they took the shot they said like they always did as the banded to fight any kind of supernatural thing that came their way-

"For good and bad times."

And the party lasted all night. Reuniting with her friends was exactly what Elena needed.

The next day, the humans were nursing a hangover, like Matt, Anne, Meredith, Vicky. The supernaturals, like Elena, Bonnie, Damon, Enzo and Tyler, went on like they had just a shot or two.

"I am going for a run."- Elena said to Bonnie as she got up.

"Ok. Coffee in the Grill then?"

"Yeah."- Elena said.

"Or, maybe, I go for a run, too, so you can tell me all about Klaus - and Joel."

"Why are you bringing up Joel?"- Elena now asked.

"Well, if Klaus is out of the equasion, what is up with Joel? I mean, you said you had feelings for him, too."

Elena sighed- "Yeah, I did. But, with Joel, it's like-he can't be reformed."

"What do you mean?"- Bonnie asked as put her sneakers on.

"He has a reputation of not even caring about - actually be in a long term relationship."- Elena now told her friend about Joel and Alex's history, then him starting something with Maggie, but cheating on her without thinking twice about it-"He is a classic case of a womanizer."

"Well, that's that then."- Bonnie said and then asked-"And why do you not just- have fun. It's allowed, Elena."

"What?"

"I mean- well, yeah. Just be with a guy, without thinking about - oh, he is the next one I will walk down the aisle with."

"Seriously? I- can't do that. I am not like that. I couldn't. I'm not Vicky. I've always wanted- love- family. A bit of adventure- but hey- that I had plenty of- with all the supernatural stuff going on out here."- Elena replied.

"True. You want a guy, and a family. The normal, and it's ok."

"Yeah, and Klaus was- so-"- Elena stopped as now she got emotional again.

"You really fell for him hard?!"- Bonnie remarked.

"Oh- HUH- it felt that way. Everything, the way he is. Loving, caring, funny. He is a very charming man. The way he smiles. His eyes sparkle - and-"
